Oh, no! Not the French, too?

Well, gentlemen...

It was a big seller in the US and UK, and now it's a big seller in France.

Maybe you can learn something from these facts. Or maybe you can keep on being surprised and dismayed over the fact that the cheap porn women prefer is not the same cheap porn that you like.

Well, that's hardly a surprise. Note: neither HM nor I have actually read it. I may have to get it for her to see how she likes it. I was struck by the comment that the one French publisher made, that it was lighthearted and happy. I'm all in favor of lighthearted and happy, myself.:D

Lighthearted and happy? It only makes sense that a French publisher said this. Ha.

It was terribly written, and I found the characters totally unlikeable (not to mention not even a little bit believable) but the sexy bits weren't a TOTAL waste of time.

Yes! <high five>, you are so  for admitting you read it.

Ha! No shame here. I'll admit to reading just about anything, and I never judge people for reading a book. Even if it's a crappy book. At least people are reading books!

(ok, I judge a teeny tiny bit all the women who didn't have a problem with the almost unreadable writing of 50 Shades. But if reading it made them want to get a little more funky in the bedroom, more power to them, right?)
