I had an eye test and I need computer glasses!

I'm getting old .

Next it'll be false teeth,

or Depends,

or "The Clapper",

or "help, I've fallen and I can't get up!".

I think I'll get drunk. "night.

Women with glasses are a turn on for me.

And if you've fallen...well, I can't help it. All the women fall for me. :D

Jeez, join the club. I've been wearing glasses since I was 9.

What sucks is I've needed a new pair every year or so up until 20. After that my vision pretty much stayed stable and I only needed to replace contacts when they wore out.

Shit's starting to get blurry again though :(

Glasses at 5, contacts at 9, and I've never looked back.

Wow do I love my contacts.

Couldn't have said that better myself...except I was 6!!!
Man! Thank GOD for contacts!

I got my goggles at 14, and I feel stupid without 'em. I only wear contacts if I'm going to an amusement park or somewhere I might lose/damage my beloved goggles.

GP, have FUN with it. Glasses are a fashion accessory! Live it up, girl!

I had to wear glasses when I was 5. Now I wear contacts. My eyes get weaker pretty much every year. I'll probably be actually blind when I'm your age, so I'd count my blessings.

Glasses at 10; contacts for sports--no seeing eye dog yet!

Who cares as long as you keep penning that great poetry?!

You know, I really hated my glasses when I was younger. I got contacts at 11.

I actually like wearing my glasses now. Unfortunately I get severe headaches when I wear them for long periods of time, especially when driving. The contacts don't do that.

I usually wear the contacts if I'm going to spend an extended period of time out of the house, and the glasses if I'm staying home or only running out briefly.

Glasses too for me at 9.
LOL The first thing I reach for in
the morning? :D My glasses.
But at least I can see. :)

Exactly what she said. Glasses since 9.

GP, are you going to get progressive thingies?

Herbal Stuff

By the way, what do you think of sesamin bilberry for eye health? I read on it a little bit, talked to a few friends and have started taking it daily. It's supposed to help my eyesight from deteriorating. I don't know yet, it's only been about 2 weeks. But I notice that my eyes don't tire as easily after a couple of hours on the computer.

No, I think it's a sweep lens for close work. The distance is off-focus if I look out of the window. They're just for the computer.

They are anti-glare......kewl.

GP are these the kind of glasses you meant?

(God, I know this isn't right and I'm already sorry but I can't resist. )

gp, I had to get glasses when I was in the 9th grade. Glasses don't mean you're old, they just mean you have some vision problems.

My honey is partially deaf in one ear, and it's because he was born 4 and a half months premature (and is now 6'5, if you can believe it), and his ear-cannals (or whatever) weren't formed properly.

Things happen that affect the health of our bodies, and we need to compensate and treat them as best as we can.

Besides.. glasses can be a kickass fashion accessory. My mom's 47, and she's got these wicked little glasses that are just funky (my mom looks about 35, and is spiritually like 20, so she can pull it off). Just find a pair that makes you feel pretty/sexy/cool, whatever.

I got glasses at 14 - what a way to start your dating age!!! They got thicker each year after that. Finally at the age of 35 I decided I'd had enough - 20/1800 vision - was almost legally blind. Spent the $4000 and had lasik surgery! I'm at 20/20 in the left eye and 20/15 now in the right eye ( 3 years and still perfect vision!). I get a little blurry if I'm on the computer all day long - but I take breaks and do some paperwork or whatever. I love that I can read in bed til I fall asleep and not have to worry about laying on my glasses!

Thanks guys....for all the encouragement. I might have over-reacted a bit. I'm fine really.

I could used that drink tho', PR! No, not there !

I think I had better than 20/20 up until a few years ago. Then the newspaper started getting farther and farther away until I ran out of arm. I wear plus 150 drug store bought half glasses on a string around my neck when I work or read. I can't have high dollar glasses, I am too rough on them. I break a pair a month.

Congratulations.

My computer glasses have a special UV coating so my eyes are protected from the sun.

Plus they have an anti-glare coating so I can see at night like no one else on the road.

Plus they correct my vision to 20/15. Hot Dogit. If I can't see it, ain't no one can see it.

They come in soo handy when some guy across the smokey bar tosses me one of those "I lust after you but you are too far away to see" looks.

Anybody got any cheeeeeeeese?
