Okay here's the deal. I have submitted a series of stories. It's like Submission I, Submission II, and Submission III. For some reason Submission I keeps being rejected because in a OOC part of the story I typed This story is also on Asexstories.com. This work is mine. This is me letting the readers know that these stories were posted on another site, but not to worry the work is mine and I'm not stealing someone else's work.

The first time I submitted an unreleated piece of work and I put that same disclaimer at the bottom the story was accepted. This time for some reason submission I is being rejected because of the url. I wrote time and time again in the notes that THAT'S NOT A FREAKING URL. DO NOT PUT IT AS A URL, because I do not want people going to that site. I am not promoting to that site.

Now I looked and my story is rejected again stating We do not put url in our stories. WELL NO FUCKING SHIT SHERLOCK. THAT IS NOT A URL, BUT A SERIES OF LETTERS PUT TOGETHER TO FORM A WORD THAT JUST SO HAPPEN TO HAVE A FUCKING . THAN A COM AT THE END. IT IS NOT A URL. I DID NOT ASK FOR IT TO BE A URL.

Who can I talk to about the idiocy of the person who keep reviewing my story, because this has discouraged me so much that I don't even want to submit my stories any longer. I have submitted that work 4 times with the notes stating THERE ARE NO FUCKING URL's IN MY STORY!

I've never added anything like that to my work and some are posted on other sites as well as here. The authors I know that submit to them don't have a statement like that either. I don't see the need in it myself I guess. Interesting.

I understand the frustration but likewise take exception to your language. Laurel is the most humble and grateful of people, and is easily approachable when your demeanor is calm. Out of anger don't be the one that screws this up for the rest of us!

I guess perhaps you should take that as a hint not to put that in your story. It's not necessary. Lots of us put our stories on multiple sites but don't put that sort of disclaimer on any of them. No big deal, I'd say.

I'd say your story has been rejected by a bot before it even got to a human. If you really want to keep the disclaimer (as others have said, it's probably not necessary), PM Laurel and outline the problem. She's the human who eventually sees the stories that get past the bots.

Yep. The other obvious solution is to change Asexstories.com to Asexstories dot com. That conveys the same meaning but won't incur the cybernetic ire of the bots.

okay. I didn't curse in my response. Instead I let all my frustrations go here. I didn't realize it was a bot. The only reason I did post the disclaimer because on another story someone said they saw my story on a site I HADN'T posted in. I dunno. I guess it's really not necessary and I could take it out. I guess I will. Though i could have sworn a person was reading my things.

Thanks for letting me rant

This just circumvents the point of the Web site policy. It doesn't want to advertise other story sites, and that's commercially a reasonable policy to have. I see no reason to advise circumventing policy on a site that's helping you publish without cost to yourself and letting readers read without cost them them.
