What'll I do? What'll I do?
I could stay on Lit for another 24 hours or I could surf the porn sites. On the other hand I could write some letters or start that story that's in my head. There's nothing on TV but I do have a fortnightly magazine teaching me how to paint in water colours, so I could paint that tree which was last week's project.
I could keep writing shit like this, just aimlessly hitting the keys but even that gets boring after a while. I'm not in the mood for a walk, a talk or socialising of any kind but I'm not particularly happy about staying in by myself.
Books I gave up years ago and newspapers I've already read. There's always the new recipe I found for Banana and Walnut (or Pecan Pie) I could give that a try, if anyone's interested this is it:
This is great made with pecan nuts instead of walnuts.
Serves 16
Butter - 110g (4 oz)
Sugar - 225g (8 oz)
Eggs - 3, separated
Ripe bananas - 225g (8 oz), peeled and mashed
Buttermilk - 150g (5 oz)
Plain flour - 225g (8 oz)
Baking powder - 2 tsp
Sultanas - 175g (6 oz)
Walnuts - 90g (3½ oz), or pecans
METHOD
Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg yolks, mashed bananas and buttermilk. Mix well.
Add the flour, baking powder and sultanas, beat until smooth. Whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold into the cake batter.
Pour into a greased and lined 20 cm (8 inch) square cake tin and arrange the nuts on top in rows. Bake at 180 °C / 350 °F / Gas 4 for 1 hour. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out. Cut into squares or slices to serve.
but I don't have 16 people to serve it to.
Ho hum...
What'll I do? What'll I do?
