i want your favorite recipes. this is one of my favorites. it comes via southern living (the best place for recipes other than grandma‘s cookbook.)
combine wafers, pecans, powdered sugar and cocoa.
mix bourbon (or rum or whatever) with corn syrup. combine with dry ingredients.
roll into balls. roll balls in powdered sugar.
makes about 3 dozen.
*i have made this with walnuts as well. extra wafers could be substituted for nut allergies.
*do not try to add more bourbon. this is like baking. ratios are important. drink it or double the recipe.
- 1 (11-oz.) package vanilla wafers, finely crushed
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans, toasted
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- Powdered sugar
