Off_base name change

Off_base has been changed.
Good morning, and merry/happy everything that applies.
A few of you know that I'm obsessed with rain and rainy weather.
I recently had an idea to dip my writing toes into a fantasy-type story (mother nature meets karma and a lesbian tryst ensues), and while doing some research, I ran across the name Dodola, the mythical, Slavic goddess of rain, and decided it was a more appropriate fit for me and what I write about. My new avatar is pending and should be up in a few days.
I'm still a reader more than a writer, and look forward to reading many of your new works in 2026, so keep them coming!

I have to ask, though (not you specifically, just the AH in general): this is at least the third name change within about a week. Coincidence? Changes that were requested months ago and have only now been processed? A trend?

Not a coincidence. I was unaware that it could be done until last week when old_prof made his post. I just made the request a few days ago.

It's clearly a concerned, carefully orchestrated peer pressure to really make me think about switching to TheRedLobster.

Two of them, at least, were not coincidence. @HyunnaPark (formerly TheRedLantern) and I had discussed changing names. I had been considering it for a few months, when she said she was as well. It took four weeks to the day for each of our name changes to be processed.
