Off The Beaten Path in St. Louis

So, I have decided to take a little vacation to St. Louis for some girl time and me time.

Unfortunately, I am not very familiar with St. Louis. Anyone from St. Louis who perhaps can offer some places to see, do, smell, dine, meet, basically to have fun, etc.?

I am especially looking for something that is "off the beaten path".

Please PM me or post here.

Thanks for reading me!

Grant's Farm is fun as is the wild bird sanctuary. I also like the Union Station complex.

We spent a couple days there while traveling Route 66 out west. You might try stopping by Ted Drewes for some classic frozen custard...and if you like beer, the Budweiser tour is fun and interesting.

Also, if it's a nice day, try looking up the "Chain of Rocks" Bridge. It's an old Route 66 bridge over the Mississippi...and if you'd like to take a walk, it lets you cross the Mississippi on foot.

Without a doubt, go to The Hill for original Italian dinning. I reccomend Zia's or Charlie Ghitto's. It is easy to fin dand nead Forest Park.

I like both frozen custard and beer! That sounds like fun.

Chain of Rocks? Now that's something I haven't heard of. Perfect! Thank you!

The Hill and Union Station rock!
Lots of museums, etc. as well.
Have a great time!
Just don't go anywhere alone, especially after dark.

Oh I forgot about the Hill! Modesto is great if you like tapas. You have the art museum as well as a Worlds Fair museum over at Forest Park. Plus a zoo, if you're into that kind of thing.

Edit: I r nt spel gud

Do I dare say I am into all kinds of things? Of course!
Thanks for these fun places. I guess it looks like I will end up having a great "me" time!

Curves, I meant to add LaCledes Landing as a spot to go on the weekends. Lots of dance clubs and is a pretty exciting place to go to meet folks, drink, and do some bumping and grinding! Have fun.

Dancing? I love to dance! Meet, drink, bumping and grinding? I can do that too! I am so there! Thank you!

Stopping in at the Delmar Loop offers a lot to do. Different shops and restaurants. Plus Fitz rootbeer is a great place to stop in for a desert. If someone is playing at the pageant while you're around I'd recommend going. Awesome venue for a concert.

Seriously??

No one mentioned the Bowling Hall of Fame???? Really????
