When people start shipping goodies from legal states to illegal states the feds will hire a million dogs and handlers to sniff every package!

there is alot of pot shipped through the USPS everyday. more than likely all the mail smells like weed. to stop that would be very time consuming and expensive. so, the USPS isn't going to do anything unless a cop has a warrant to localize one individuals mail.
people don't realize that with legalization opens the door for farmers to grow hemp. do you realize with that, how much male pot pollen will be traveling up to a mile from its source will be out there? you wouldn't be able to grow any good weed outdoors. you'll get nothing but seed.
taxation. easy. if you grow, you pay for a tax stamp. you're perfectly legal and provide something for the county coffer. if you get caught growing without the tax stamp, you get fined.

Even though it might be legal to grow plants and cultivate your own, many smokers will opt for the store bought, ready to roll pot. Plus, smoking the shit is a thing of the past! Cookies and drinks and enhanced gummy bears will also be a part of the pot market.

The Feds can either go with the flow on this or not. It is going to be an interesting couple of years.

Is this the same article I started reading in Rolling Stone about the people in the DEA having made their career of pot busts don't want to give that up?

The day marajuana is legal, the DEA will become like "Moonshine Revenuers". I can see having to have a license to grow large amounts of it, but I can also see some of the "farmers" in KY, VA, WV, and PA still growing it without the permits.

As a pot farmer if I had the choice between paying taxes (getting a licence) and not have to worry about the DEA blowing my doors off and shooting my dog b/c of the couple dozen plants I have, I will take the licence and you can go on any growing forum and see that 95% of people who take the shit seriously would also take the licence over the MP5's in their face.

^^ This...growing good quality exotic/connoisseur grade weed is every bit the art of fine wine or cigar making. It takes lots of time, study, effort and money invested to cultivate something like this.

And your average joe simply isn't going to be able to do it anything like the folks who have dedicated themselves to the science/art of cannabis cultivation/processing any more than your bathtub moonshiner will make a fine scotch.

Home grown will be like moonshine.

Some is just like moonshine...it will get the job done. Other's grow the finest weed on earth in their closets/spare rooms....you just never know, that is the nature of the black market.

one day it will be legal in my state. one day. if medical pot were available here, i would probably qualify. then i would have my happy plants. it's just not worth it, the way things are. one day. pot makes me happy, horny and depending on the strain, i actually enjoy cleaning. tell me how that is bad.
