They still think that both parties are basically on the same page when it comes to the National Polity and that there is more common ground that great divisions, which might be true, as most of the National Republican Leadership seem to be Progressive-Socialists too. The Democrats have come to understand that they no longer need to compromise, so they will not. When in the majority, they will say they won and that the Republicans are unreasonable for not compromising and if they ever earn majority status again, their mouthpieces will begin loudly lamenting the lack of civility and compromise and accuse the other side of using the tyranny of the majority to shut out the minority and that is just unpatriotic; it is mean-spirited.

(The Republicans do not realize that not unlike the Reverend Niemöller, once the radicals are purged, then the least of the RINOs will become the next targeted radical element.)

The Democrats and the Press only need enough of an opposition party to blame for the failures of government. Progressive, Interventionist Socialism can book no debate, its goals, temporary and fleeting with long-lasting consequence, are assumed a priori and hence do not need to be defended or even discussed. This is why so much of what goes on from the Democrats is simple ridicule and name calling; they are being opposed by pure evil, for they are what is good and right about this nation. They care. No one else does, they actually want dirty water and air, oppressed minorities, starving children, dying elderly and control over women's bodies, all in the name of profit.

McCain is so senile that he learned nothing from his nice-guy, moderate run for the Presidency. He still thinks he did everything right and that if the party would just follow him, the future will be full of nothing but victory, so sayeth the Oracle.



Meanwhile they show us their true faces by using words like radical, arsonist, terrorist, and hostage taker. These are not nice people running the Democratic Party, they are ruthless and without principle other than total victory and spoils for their voters. President Obama, like most of the educational elite which took him in and trained him, has little love of the Middle Class or the suburbs. They (like the Tea Party and politics) are the reason that the cities have it so bad. Those people had a patriotic duty to stay and pay taxes and subsidize the welfare state.

In their intransigence and folly they've repeatedly turned down "grand bargain" type deals which any Republicans of an earlier era would have regarded as triumphs. Furthermore they've stymied "immigration reform", somewhat strangely given a strict reading of their libertarian/free market ideals, but there you have it: populists high on Rand.
