What is it exactly that makes nurses so alluring? Is it the white of our uniforms? The equipment we dangle in front of you? The way we touch you? Our nuturing, caring, and compassionate natures?

I want to know. (or do I)

The white uniforms?...absolutely...they´re very sexy...even though the slippers worn at most hospitals are not wildly erotic...
but the hemline is often the right length...

Caring and compassionate natures?...of course...but also the fact that you can tell us to undress...and that you´re able to look at our bodies in a professional way...of course when you´re really ill, you don´t get naughty fantasies...but when you´re just a little sick...

The dangling equipment?...well...sometimes it´s impossible not to feel something when you accidentily brush your bodies against ours...maybe a tit hidden under a sturdy bra?

It´s no wonder we fantasize.

But then - you´re more interested in attracting doctors than patients, are you not?

Not really. Most MD's are truly assholes, and my patients are all females. NOW their husbands are another matter ;)

...I guess the husbands give you really big smiles...being in the room, stealing glances, watching you treating their wives...not really a tranquillizing thought...

...glad you draw the line there...sure you´d look nice in a new uniform...

Somehow the white mini's wouldn't work up here in the frozen wasteland though.:)

...I see your point..but is it frozen indoors too?...and white mini´s are sorely missed in frozen wastelands...would thaw people´s minds as well as other bodily parts...and spring is getting closer all the time...

No, it's not frozen indoors but somehow the mini effect would be lost on my female peers and I seriously doubt the fresh mom's would appreciate any dads' wondering eyes.

Maybe I should go back into home care.:D

I have to disagree. I'm with a doctor and he's the sweetest guy. I've also chit-chatted with a few doctors and they always seem very nice.

...well, you shouldn´t change jobs just because we would like to see you in a mini skirt...even if the older men would be a lot healthier with you doing home care...but it´s a bit sad that female beauty goes to waste as a source of energy in a frozen environment ...

They can be very nice people and most of them are extremely smart. But many of them develop a hardness from dealing with needy patients that nurses don't tend to develop so easily. They also tend to get an "I'm never wrong" attitude that closes their minds.

Not all but many. And that is the consensus of many of the nurses who work closely with those doctors.

Personally, the whole "sexy nurse" thing always pissed me OFF. Gives my chosen profession a bad name. I hate seeing it on television, in the movies, and in porn. I hate seeing it here. I'll probably get a ration of shit for this, but I really don't give a shit. This profession has been struggling for respect for too many years.

I'll box it up and save it for a sunny day.:)

You may have the only sweet doctor in the world... believe me working with him would probably sour you on the charms of their profession...

Why are men attracted to nurses?... I never figured it out either... I have a friend who told me, that since men are supposed to be in control and in charge, and when they are sick its the nurses who are in control... that the relife of the day to day responsiblities is comforting to them.. I think its a half baked theory... maybe its just that they are men, and we are women... :)

I find nurses tend to be needy and fragile, but also highly physical...hence the old expression "Can't get a date?...Get a Nurse!"

It's hard work, nursing...many nurses are very hard on themselves with damaged self-esteem....heavy drinkers, smokers...

Nowadays I worry that nurses are good candidate carriers for a whole range of communicable diseases.

But most nurses I know, I like.

Well, he does complain about his patients - not all of them. But it's like any other job... you get sick of dealing with people sometimes.
