You sound like an expert, Lucy ;) Have you tried them all? Their cakes and bread are really good too. And, rather perfectly, a friend of mine was once queuing up in one to pay for a cake, and realised that the guy queuing in front of him was none other than Alan Bennett :cool:

I have seamed black stockings. I am perfect for this role. *bends over*

Betty's croissant, curd tart and fruit cake are the best in class, and I am a specialist in all of them!!

It's never to early in the day for chocolate! I had a variety of chocolate yesterday. I must confess it's a weekeness right up there with fruit desserts and carrot cake cheesecake. :D

I've never had a Betty's croissant. I do like a curd tart, though, yum.

And seams, yes. I like to wear stockings with seams to business meetings sometimes. Outer appearance: sensible, professional, collected. But what's this? A seam? :eek: What's going on under there...? That sort of thing :devil:

Carrot cake, that's right up there, isn't it?

Luckily for me, my friend is the woman who makes the absolute best carrot cake in Europe. And she always asks me what I would like her to bake for me for my birthday. And she is never surprised by my answer... :heart:

Looks like I picked the perfect time to visit Numi. You all tucked into bed while we do our best to help get you well and cheer you up. I recommend the Hot Toddys with a little extra honey. For the throat. You're plenty sweet enough. I hope you complete your teenage boy pubescence quickly. As I recall it's not a ton of fun.

I also hope the lady of the manor is back on her seamed stocking clad feet sooner rather than later. *hugs* :eek: Damn. Now I'm infected too. Scoot over Numi and make the next round Double Hot Toddys please. :kiss:
