Number 100

Yay!

Just to let you know, I recently hit my 100th and I wasn't able to upload an avatar right away. I posted a few more times and then logged out for awhile. A few hours later, I was able to post the avatar/profile pic. And as added excitement, my pm box increased by 100, hooray!

Which promptly filled with compliments about your AV.:rose:

Hmmmm . . .

I guess it's been a while, but I don't remember it happening that way

So now that I am eligible for an avatar I can't decide what to do. I've looked at many others and have boiled them down to a few categories.

1. Selfie of some kind (usually no face)
2. Cartoons and drawings
2. Furry Creatures
4. Photos of other people/objects
5. Abstract images
7. No avatar (a very popular option)

Does anyone have any opinions/advice either on how they selected theirs or what I should consider in making a final decision? I'm somewhat reluctant to take the selfie route because I have this fear of being traceable but that may just be overreaction.

Oh yes.........have a selfie of some sort in the AV or profile.....otherwise it casts great doubts as to your true nature. IMHO:D

no avatar may be popular among people who do it, but others don't tend to look at it with like interest. It's minimalist thinking that people tend to shy away from interacting with.It also precludes you from going into "the avatar above me" type threads...

I second the artsy concept.

bare boob selfie....:D

The, "rule of thumb" when it comes to good av's for women, is to make sure the av represents, in stunning clarity, all the passion and eroticism you experience when you are about to have nasty, raunchy sex. Your goal should be to use the av thoughtfully so that every man in lit KNOWS your av was meant for his eyes only......

Might be a challenge initially, but a rule of thumb IS a rule of thumb....:D

Everything is traceable dear. To think otherwise would be foolish.
IMHO.

I have my pic up. I don't say anything that would get me into trouble in public anyway. :)

I'm pretty sure your avatar is not set in stone, so you can always change it. In other words, choose something you like, and if you decide you don't like it anymore, change it to something else. At 100+ posts, the message board world is your oyster!
