Nuance of the meaning of "MILF"

I disagree. For example, sexually, I like femdom, but in everything else, I am pretty strong-minded, borderline stubborn, and I wouldn't let anyone else lead me or tell me what to do, male or female. And sure as hell I wouldn't like to be publicly called something that would make me look like a beta-male. The world of sexual fantasies has its own rules and nuances, but outside of it, we are often quite different creatures.
Also, every term we already have is a compliment for a woman who actually likes to be objectified, so yeah, there are always people who won't be hit by these things.
Would agree with that.

Anything based on being a woman's plaything is going to make it seem like the guy is getting some. Death by snu snu is a very popular way to go. Use a name like DILDO or SIMP, with the meanings you gave, and you'll have guys volunteering to be tributes. You need names that imply he's not getting some if you want him to feel bad. Names that imply he is poorly endowed, or lacking in technique.

So that could include some 12 yos. Laurel is going to be delighted.

Which bit of what I said was inaccurate, just wondering, hun. You know, so I can avoid the mistake in future.

Em
Besides calling me a fucking pedo and bringing Laurel into it???

My mistake was ASSUMING that you people had enough common sense, to understand what I actually said.

Lesson Learned.

I hope you have a wonderful night.

I didn’t call you a pedo, hun. It’s odd you think I did. I pointed out your definition was inaccurate.

I was then making a joke about what that might lead to. not bringing Laurel into it .

If you are worried, I’ve never reported a single person in my time here. And I’ve have some truly vile stuff said to me.

I think this is a misunderstanding.

Peace.

No one called you a pedo man. They pointed out a flaw in the definition you offered. I'm sure you meant older women but you said child bearing age, that does start with puberty, even if we limit it to adults it certainly includes 18 year olds. No biggie, no one's accusing you of anything, just a definition that needs a little adjustment.

I'm not worried at all, because Laurel knows better.

I'll chalk this one up to a text format misunderstanding.

That's how it came across though.

All good now.

Family got me calmed down.

Threads like these get silly when people forget that the world of Lit fantasy is not the real world, and it is not in any sense limited by the real world. Terms like MILF and cougar have overlapping meanings. There's no need to define them with precision. Kinks don't work that way. If you are overthinking what is and what is not a MILF then you are wasting your time.

As someone with many years of experience in debate and argumentation, I have a personal motto: debates over definitions are not meaningful debates. Debates are meaningful when they involve values (e.g., is American football better than soccer/football?) or conclusions based upon observed facts (e.g., do humans and chimpanzees have a common ancestor?), but not definitions (e.g., Is so and so a MILF?). You can put whatever label you want on something. It doesn't change the nature of what it is. Debates over definitions seldom reveal more than the participants' personal, subjective, and uninteresting views on how they insist on using words.

It would be awfully nice if we could all calm the fuck down.

I’ve apologized for what @Seadog777 took as a slight. It wasn’t intended that way, but I can kinda see how he might see it as so.

I struggle with tone IRL, so I can see that’s hard in text.

Can we just talk about sex instead?

No one died. It doesn’t matter who’s right and wrong.

As I say: peace.

100% agree.

Your intuition is belied by the fact that an enormous number of women self-apply the term in online erotica and their profile pages.

That puts them in the category of "Moms who would like to be fucked, particularly by people not their husbands, and preferentially by guys young enough to be their sons."

Again, just guessing here. I think most of these things, in porn, are aimed at and driven by the male audience. There is demand for hot moms in porn because of men.

And not simply the male audience, but the younger male audience who fantasizes being fucked by their friends' mothers, or men who want to revisit that time in their lives.

I asked a writer friend how he would define a MILF. He said that it conjured up an image of a mature woman who has young (pre-adult) children but whom he wishes would make herself sexually available to him. She could be anywhere from her late teens to her late thirties, as long as the children aren't adults.
Note that she might not actually be looking for sex from him, but her hotness lies in his desire that she might be so inclined.

After the children are grown, she becomes a "cougar," particularly if she's targeting men who could be the age of her son or grandson.

It's as good a definition as any, but it probably wouldn't be everybody's definition.

For me, the main thing is that, since she's a mom, she's clearly not a virgin.

Well, not "clearly." I've been working on an idea for a virgin mom story. I guess it depends on what makes one a virgin.

For me, a hungry old man, it's more like, I hardly ever see Mothers I wouldn't like to....
