Yup. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... won't get fooled again!" Despite the fractured syntax, he's at least smart enough not to get caught with his pants down. Plus, Laura strikes me as the 'dirty Librarian' sort. I mean, she met him in his 'bad boy' days, and he seems to need a sort of mother/whore figure in his life.
