Nothing makes Democrats more angry than the popularity of Chick-fil-A

There is nothing more endlessly frustrating to Democratic lawmakers and activists than the startling popularity of Chick-fil-A. A leader in customer satisfaction and a favorite among Generation Z, the Atlanta-based chicken sandwich peddler can't stop winning in the eyes of the public.

Despite complaints against the company's religious values and supposed "anti-LGBT" affiliations, consumers have shown that there's no interest in a significant boycott. That's why lawmakers in New York want the state itself to crack down on the fast food chain.

The textual justification for the bill has already given the game away. Now, when pressed on it, Simone wants us to think he cares most about protecting consumers — one of the most popular excuses for all manner of encroachments into individual rights. But Simone is just carrying on the battle that his fellow Democratic lawmakers started.

Even beyond the constitutionality of the bill, its logic is not so airtight. If a rest stop Chick-fil-A being closed on Sunday is a great annoyance for customers, they will refuse to eat there on Saturday, too, and the location will lose money and close. But Chick-fil-A’s popularity has proven enduring despite its day of rest, and markets reveal the preferences of the masses, not of Democratic activists.

As a Dem, I'm just mad I can't get a chicken biscuit after sacrificing small animals in my Pagan Temple of Worship on Sundays.

As for the dumb OP, if other restaurants have to adhere to those Sunday guidelines, so should they. It's really that simple.

So what's next? Hobby Lobby? They are closed on Sunday's too. Are they going to pursue all the mom and pop businesses that are closed on Sunday? Just more stupid fucking meddling in things that are not government concerns.

Hobby Lobby should not be allowed to open stores in highway rest stops.
I hope this is an attempt by you to be funny. Any business can set what ever hours of operation they choose, including days to be open. What's next? Will they say all of these businesses in highway rest stops must be open 24/7? Not sorry to say this is massive government overreach.

But to be honest, I've been to chic-fil-A and won't be giving them anymore of my money due to the service and quality of food I received. So to me this is less about a particular brand and more about government overreach yet again into areas it has no business in.

Sure they can when they own or lease the space. Not so true if they need a licence by the building owner to operate there.

Again, if you own your own building, make your own hours. You lease space or buy a licence to operate , then you're at the behest of the owner on when and where you operate.

But you're jumping in defending them, not even known they are a space renter and the owner's terms and conditions require 7 days a week as part of the agreement. No government over reach there.

On a controlled-access highway where there are no other places to pull off and eat, it’s not unreasonable to require concessionaires to be open to the public 24/7.

Deplorables are just not very bright. This concept about turnpike concessionaires has been explained to them over and over again, but they still insist they are being victimized. It's almost as if playing the perpetual victim is the only identity they have.

No wonder they can't get laid.

If, and it's a big IF, the business leases land from the government, like the highway Oasis in Illinois, then the government can detail things like days and hours of operation in the contract. If, and again it's another big IF, the business owns the land that they operate on then the government has no right to decide business hours.

My guess is you are not very old because when I was younger it was not unusual to drive for miles along the interstate and not find an open gas station, let alone an open restaurant. Its only in the last 20 or 30 years that society has come to expect that services will be available 24/7, even holidays.

Nothing makes MAGATs more angry than pointing out that Trump has given aid and comfort to people convicted of insurrection.
Yawn...Another trolling move by one of the clique, or perhaps an Alt of a clique member. Can't you crybabies ever stay on topic?

Chic Fil-A is not yet local for me, so I ate at one only once. It is currently the best in fast food chicken sandwiches. Closed on Sundays is quite reasonable. Most unions want more than just one day off.

Wrong wrong. You need to look up the "Blue Laws" that force businesses to close on Sunday because the Bible says Sunday should be "a day of rest". Doesn't matter if the owner is Hindu or Buddist the Christian religion must prevail.

No shit, and it wasn't the most pleasurable way to travel either.

Exactly, and why, Government. You don't like it, fuck off and go back to where Sunday travailing was a waste of time because nothing was open,no food, no gas nothing. You were lucky if you could find a toilet open.

If you choose to build your business in an area with blue laws then you comply, kind of like those fucking HOAs.

Chik-Fi-la isn't even that popular, it is that good, and the only reason these choice locations may be forced to stay open is they are in places where you may have very, very limited choices on where to eat. Perhaps we fucked up when setting zoning laws because we didn't think anybody would do something like X. Though do you want a small government that makes sure that you follow absurd shit?

I ate there once about twenty years ago. Nothing special about it.

I think Popeye’s is better.

If Chick suddenly said they observed Sunday’s off for Hamas, BLM, global warming, trans awareness and satanism, they might get a pass. God forbid religious freedom for anything Christian is observed. If it’s right, it’s wrong.
