note to self

My opinion that is about 5 or 10 years out of date!!! Moved from SE to DE.

Java and c#... similar to read. More so back in the day.
Easy to rewrite apps if the business was moving to MS or vice versa.
But c# has evolved now... a lot richer with the libraries.

Java you still have to code.

Yeah I'm out of date too, but i did notice that .NET in general has a massive number of libraries and even has linq so you don't have to write SQL. I still support developers and once in a while i have to look at their code to see what is happening when they get whatever server problem.

It's a beautiful thing.
I love it.

Yeah. I miss it. I have good work/life balance with the job i have though so I can't complain.

You are talking from a back end programmer perspective.

SQL is needed to create the DB. The tables.
Plus any views, procs or udfs the app is going to query!
well of course it's needed when you do the dba stuff. It just seems insane to have thing like linq if you compare it to other things like php or even java.

Robots? I thought they were talking about squirrels in libraries using links to access the net. I was picturing rodent pornhub 😲
Tsk, tsk, tsk silly young lady, squirrels don't hang out in libraries, they smoke cigarettes outside the bathrooms and try to look cool.
