Dear Mom,

I apologized for bringing it up after 20 years and I apologized for not being able to tell you sorry. I'm not angry at what you did, not after all this time. I'm angry that you told me I made it up. I'm upset that you didn't leave my house when I begged you to. I'm upset that you don't understand this still hurts me more than you could ever know and has effected my life more than I could possibly have imagined. I will forgive you when the reopened wounds have healed. I just wish you could understand it might take awhile.
