Anyone have an opinion about Norton personal firewall? I need to update my virus definition subscrption, and for only 5 more dollars, I can get Norton Personal Firewall!!! I've been using ZoneAlarm, and reside on a reasonably secure network to begin with, but...any opinion about the comparative benefits of the two?

Download the cracked version and have high level protection for free

Yeah, cos downloading securtiy software that somebody's fucked with is a really good idea and a really good way to save what? Twenty bucks?

40 bucks, but true.

Have no fear, I immediatly disregarded Hanns answer as unsound, as are most of his posts.

I'm paranoid, of course, but I run more than one firewall.

I like Norton because it's got ad blocking and keeps those pain in the ass huge banner ads from loading. A real plus on a dial up. I've never had problems with it interefering beyond that.

KM, it is simply impossible to disregard advice from one as absolutly ravishingly beautiful as you. And your smart, too. Need to find me a 'Muffin of my own. Norton it is, running with zone alarm. Good times!

Now, will running them both have any performance implications? Don't want my nice, hard piece of plastic to fail to perform up to expectations, now.

Security or speed? Both, of course!

then upgrade your service to DSL.

My downloads average 300-400kbps. I run 2 firewalls and I am behind a hardware firewall. My connection is 1.5Mbps.

Hmmm. Oddly enough, I have DSL.

Very neat site- will take some time to explore. Did say that my 'puter was very secure.
