Hello! I'm Ariena, and am completely new here. I have a very rough story written, that might possibly, hopefully, /maybe/ show some promise, but I would like some help with it. By rough I don't mean in terms of spelling and grammar so much (though probably that as well) but in terms of the story itself.

I've also got about a million questions on how it all works, posting here, though I've looked through a lot of faq's already. (To be honest, I've always got a million questions, so that's not saying much.)

I'm looking for somebody at least somewhat experienced, who's in the mood to edit and work with me as well as have patience for questions. My goal would be to get the story perfect enough to feel comfortable posting it.

It is non-consent, though if I do later chapters that may or may not change.

It currently sits at almost 4,000 words, if length matters. It doesn't have a title or tagline, yet, because I need to think more about that.

So, that said, is there anybody actually interested in volunteer editing? (*crossesfingers*)

Sure. I'm slow as sludge, but shoot me a message, story critique is my thing. I focus on things like character development, pacing, plot structure, and I favor fast paced writing that doesn't dally into prose. I like work that hits hard, uses the right words in the right places, doesn't fuck around. For non-con? I think it's nigh upon necessary to have gritty, tight writing.

I don't really care about spelling and grammar edits when it's draft one needing tightened. I know how this works. You write draft one, you get critique, then you write it again but this time you write it right. That's what you want.

Am I right?
