I'd like to take issue with the contention that only that that is Left of centre in The Great Republic comes from universities.

It seems equally true to me that Oral Sex University (OK), Falwell Fallout College (VA?) and various other Fundamentalist institutions produce, annually, a goodly number of new adherents to NeoCon and other reactionary opinion-groups.

Committed deeply to the Greek "Golden Mean" and lodged firmly in the Centre, I despise political correctness and rudeness equally. There is a vast abuse of the English language extant in the World today - sadly, most of it comes from my Neighbours to the South. It is the electronic Media, People!

That is NOT to say that Brits don't obfuscate, or individual Americans are not literate.

The funny thing is, the very thing you are pointing out, and blaming on political correctness, is actually what political correctness recognized as a problem in the first place.

I find it amusing that you see this problem as being every bit as serious as those of us who agree with the philosophy of political correctness do - and yet you cannot seem to see that your own anti-pc position amounts to denying the existence of the very problem you are complaining about

I always find it funny to post spanish without being able to put "~" above that "n". Not even able to turn "!" or "?" upside down.
