No, the Democrats did not lose by going too far left.

‘You’re right, but this guy …’
There are many like ‘this guy’ who voted for President Trump; don’t assume for a moment that they support his fascist agenda.

Donald Trump did not return to power based on any supposed consolidation of fascism in America. Trump came to power on the basis of lies, exploiting the dissolution, and anger of broad sections of the population.

Between the installation of the Trump regime, and the implementation of his policies, lies the resistance of the working class. The working class is entering into immense social struggles.

For the bombast of his speech, Trump vastly overestimates the power of US imperialism, and very much underestimated the resistance which his fascist program is going to provoke both within the United States and globally.

But at that point, you’ve shifted from collective ownership to a madman, which is the opposite of collective ownership.

Yes that's what liberalism is all about.

On the terms you describe, the problem is not collective ownership, but the abandonment of it.

No, I'm not a progressive leftoid.

Arguably, a ‘lunatic taking power’ and implementing ‘horrifying exploitation and inequity’ is what we have now.

Again, no, that's the history of socialism and what we have now is the opposite of that.

You’re right, but this guy doesn’t actually ever argue in good faith. He just randomly yells garbage and gets off on wasting your time.
You got blasted and couldn't hang.

No reason to shit on a comrade for your failure.

Democraps have lost their way on many issues. Repubican'ts are no better.

Hold on … there’s that matter of ‘shift from … to …’

Which are you equating to “liberalism?”

They lost by not going far left enough to offer any real, hopeful alternative to plutocratic rule and the low-wage economy it produces.
All you have to do to add yet another reason the dumbacrats lost was evident in the National Prayer Service. Bishop Budde embarrassed not only herself, but the entire Episcopalian Diocese. To know where I'm coming from, my father was a lifelong Democrat, and has been rolling in his grave over these past 4 years. Both sides of my family have been practicing Jews for centuries. I have 2 brothers, both married to non-jews, which is great. My closet 1st cousin is a recently retired Lutheran Minister, who for years held a Passover Seder wherever he was ministering. Done all in Hebrew. Until 2008, I would never have thought I couldn't support the Democratic nominee for President Mr. Obama ended that due to his non-existant experience.

Collective ownership is antithetical to liberalism.

Any "madman" as considered by the left, who freaks out over anything not pushing collective ownership, is usually more liberal. Liberal =/= left.

Nope. Incorrect. Doug Emhoff's scandals are blamed for losing presidency. And now that President Trump has been sworn into office, for sore loser Harris, it is now all about the blame game, and her target has flipped to her 'dead weight' husband. Now there's gratitude for you, after Emhoff famously stepped away from his own prominent career as an attorney in California to fully support Harris' political ambitions in 2020 – becoming hell-bent on perfecting his image as a 'wife guy'.

Nevertheless, those closest to her believe she will skip the race for California governor – which she believes is a 'thankless, no-win job' – and instead try for president again in 2028. After perhaps dumping Doug, because she lost because of him. Nothing to with being extreme left, brainless, incapable and a pure bitch

But but but.....it's all Dougie's fault she lost....rotflmao. Sure it is, Kamala. Sure it is

‘ …not going far left enough.’
Oddly enough, I’m censored for political wrongdoing for saying as much.

Apparently, the magical ingredient is to retain sufficient mirage to sway the 90% while granting privileged upper-middle social class layers enough to live the lifestyle to which it has become accustomed.

And when those become unsustainable? Ahh … there’s the rub. Class struggles ahead.

‘Any "madman” …’
Wait — wasn’t the ‘madman’ your idea #94?

I seem to recall:

‘In theory....in practice it's always ended up with some lunatic taking power and incurring some of the most horrifying exploitation and inequity in modern history.’

Are collective ownership and a totalitarian lunatic antithetical?

Why was a Lutheran minister holding a Passover Seder?

Trump is not "the opposite" of a lunatic. And what we have now is not "the opposite" of horrifying exploitation and inequity.

Every word Budde said is the truth:

"Let me make one final plea, Mr. President," Bishop Mariann Budde said in her 15-minute sermon. "Millions have put their trust in you. And as you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now," said Budde, as she appeared to look towards the president.

"There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives."

"The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings; who labor in poultry farms and meat packing plants; who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals, they – they may not be citizens or have the proper documentation. But the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors," said Budde.

Towards the end of her sermon Budde said, "I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President, on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away. And that you help those who are fleeing war zones and persecution in their own lands to find compassion and welcome here. Our God teaches us that we are to be merciful to the stranger, for we were all once strangers in this land."
