Democrats Biggest Fear

Socialism: a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

The NFL operates as a business collective. Take out ‘political’ in the definition above and the NFL, IMO, meets all the other definitions of a functioning socialist enterprise.
But, you've also taken "community" out of it. The community gets no input on what the team owners decide.

At no period in history have socialists been more than a marginal and irrelevant presence in the Democratic Party.

Lately, the Dems are not even social democrats, let alone socialists.
They were once a significant presence in the Republican Party. Lincoln appointed Marxists to high civil and military posts, and Karl Marx himself was the London correspondent for Horace Greely's pro-Republican New York Tribune.

The GOP was radical when it started out.
