..."not my kink".

Are you able to enjoy stories here that aren't really your turn-on?

I have to admit I find it difficult to read or write anything besides femdom stories these days -- I've become much narrower in my tastes than I used to be.

I used to have a I/T kink but I think I've aged out of it. My one or two other kinks don't really have a home here, but I'm also... aging out of them a bit I think.

WLW though? They'll bury me with printouts of that beside me for my journey to the Fields of Reeds! :ROFLMAO:

Yes. And it's a recent revelation. I have a high-heel fetish story in the works and it's easier to imagine than I thought. I just have to imagine something I AM into and write accordingly. I don't want to cum on her shoes but on her tits? Oh yes.

My recent foray into incest was a bit harder but changing "Fuck me baby" to "Fuck me daddy" wasn't too hard.

I still peruse most categories when I first log on in the morning, looking for a gem, but some I do not even bother with

I never thought I'd enjoy a LW story, but I did find myself pulled into one the other day. The category varies wildly and I think that's something easily forgotten.

The sign of Really Good Writing is when you get pulled into a story outside your normal interests.

For writers, in the reverse, it's attempting to write a kink you don't have. I keep trying, with hugely varied success. High degree of difficulty.
Working on this as well. It's definitely a challenge, but I find the writing much more exhilarating anymore than staying inside my comfort zone. Posting it however... 😅

Last week I found myself reading an eroticized version of To The Manor Born (a BBC sitcom that I only vaguely remember). I started reading out of morbid curiosity but I had to admit halfway through that it wasn't entirely that anymore. Only on Literotica...

Now I'm wondering if I had a latent Penelope Keith fetish since childhood and was only fooling myself about Felicity Kendle...

Absolutely, yes. It's never been a problem. Both as a reader and as an author I like trying to go into a new creative erotic space to imagine responding to something I haven't responded to before. New fetishes, or whatever.

Yeah.... no. I've tried a couple of times to write something I'm not into, and decided its not worth the effort. Feels too much like work.

That said, my last two pieces have been requests from fans - their premise, my writing. Of course, I've only agreed because I've liked the premise, but it's been a lot of fun. My interpretation of what they've requested. Happy customers, thus far, and I've benefited because it's given me fresh ideas.

Definitely. What's more, I've found myself starting to get turned on by things I thought would have just horrified me, once I started reading and giving the idea a chance.

People, what does NWK stand for? I used Urban Dictionary to find out the WLW must mean "women loving women." This is the first time I've seen that abbreviation.

There is a fuzzy line between a mere "interest" and a "fetish." For one thing, if it's your own interest, it's not a fetish! ;)

If men like certain kinds of clothing on women, I would call that an interest. If he cums on certain items (like shoes) when they are not being worn by a woman, that is bit different. If he buys a collection of shoes for that purpose only, that is something else yet again. But as long as he's not hurting himself or someone else, I guess that is fine. If he is buying more shoes than he can afford, and he is ruining his credit score, that is a problem.

I'm not sure that an interest in a celebrity could be called a fetish. The really intense ones can turn into an obsession, however, and can result in behaviors like stalking (and worse).

One guy who does security for celebrities said, "The question is not, 'is there a stalker?' The question is, 'How many are there?' " The King of Comedy is a good examination of celebrity obsession.

I had the same realisation when I realized I got more turned on by Endora than Samantha in Bewitched.
Agnes Moorehead was in her sixties by the point. I did like the "attitude" she brought to the role. Then there was Serena, the unrepressed alter ego to Samantha's very repressed sexuality. Samantha had a very strange marriage, and even her own husband wasn't interested in her. It was great how Elizabeth Montgomery could play both roles through cues like body language, tone of voice, etc.

Which section was that in and what was it called, please? (Certainly makes me feel better about HOT AND FUZZY).

I just don't have time. If I barely have time to read and write my own kinks, where would I find time to read stuff not catered to my preferences?

One rare exception was Do Androids Fart Like Electric Pigs which was both not my kink, and also not even remotely erotic to me. But the title sounded funny and I laughed so hard at the ending. Especially the final line.

WLW? If I may promote myself, read my prequel to the Geek Pride entry. The Fields of Reeds? You mean the Egyptian afterlife?. I never figured out how they would use that stuff back in the tomb if their spirit was elsewhere. I know, I''m taking it too literally.
