hey folks,

i'm considering getting my nipples pierced. does anyone have nipple piercings? good/bad/horrid?

I had mine done for about a year and I guess I have a horror story, because while I loved them quite a bit, they consistently kept getting infected, no matter how well I took care of them. I was told I'm one out of lots and lots of people who just can't have them pierced and that makes me sad because I loved them so much!

hmmm... ladies.... between us... my breasts are pretty large, a wee bit saggy *cough* and my nips are kinda flat (breasts from hell), so i would have to get them pierced behind the nipple actually. i really want barbells, but i have heard from a couple of people that it takes up to a year to heal.

Actually, barbells are definitely the way to go. With rings, because they curve, there's more stress on the piercing while it's trying to heal. This can cause problems.

thanx jett!!

i've had mine done twice now... can't remember which doc Insisted that i take them out for which test, but they hadn't quite healed yet and i whimped out in pushing them through again.

Anyway... had them redone a few months back. I just missed them too much and with spring coming and bike riding weather... there is nothing quite as shiver inducing as having the wind slide up my sleeves and cool that metal. For me, the increased sensitivity has been phenominal.

I prefer rings simply beacuse i love the look and nipple shields seem to stay in place better for me. The healing process is trickier though. As Jett said...the curve adds to the pressure and you really must be vigilant in cleaning and turning and flipping them... and you need to be careful with positioning in a bra... especially when pulling a sport bra over.... the first time i had them done... i found it more comfortable to wear a bra to sleep in and protect them... this time i had no such need.

And as an aside.. for me the adrenaline was freaking fantastic... the rush went right to my clit. Each and every time!

Got both done. Typically wear curved barbells. I like them fine, but the wife's reaction is really what does it for me.

Grrrrr..... :catroar:

My wife had hers done years before we got together, she and I both love them. After breast feeding she had lost most of her sensitivity, the piercings brough that back in full force and then some.

I got mine done about 6 months ago and hope I never have to take them out. I did not have any problems with the healing process, I'm probably not fully healed yet but they sure seem that way. My sensitivity went through the roof as well. No complaints here :)

We both have horseshoes, hers are 12 guage, mine are 14 guage.
