Night Runner

"Then how can we kill a creature that has been given that gift. It is impossible. And he has enough power to transport someone like me half way across this land to his castle to torture me."

Damas shuddered when he remembered what Ganth had done to him and knew that he would want nothing more than to destroy him and Bastack.

"He didn't transport you. He simply pulled your soul out of your body and did the same woth his and brought you to his castle. A very simple spell. The simplest Reaver, which is very simple indeed, could do it", chimed in Kain.

Damas looked at Kain and wondered what he was still doing here. The fight with Bastack was over and yet he stayed. Why was he still here, was it to just annoy him or to make the werewolf look foolish.

Takatha stood up and Zyn followed suit. "We should get moving now", said Takatha.

Damas got to his feet and looked at the two vampires who were beginning to walk away from him and said, "Whoa... where are we going?"

Takatha and Zyn just kept on walking and Damas let out a sigh then began to walk after them, wondering where they were going now and what they were going to go up against next.

"The castle is just up ahead", informed Zyn, pointing to the mountains.

Damas looked at the castle that sat near the top of the mountains. It had the look of pure evil to it as it seemed to suck every bit of light from around the surrounding area. Damas didn't want to go into that place but he knew that he must because he had to get the cape and scepter away from Ganth to get this curse lifted from him but he didn't want to die trying.

Zyn and Takatha looked up at the high cliffs and sighed. "Looks like we're going to have to find a way up those cliffs", said Takatha.

Damas looked at them and said, "Is there no way that you can change into something that will make it up those cliffs with ease. All I have is my claws but they will do."

Damas jumped up onto the cliff face and slammed his claws into the rock face, causing little bits of rock to fall.

OOC: I have a feeling something is going to happen- it is not going to be this easy.

OOC: oh, very much so, wise one. (not sarcastically)

IC: The Vampires jumped up and dug their claws into the rock wall next to Damas. Kain pulled out steel claws and leaped onto the wall, digging them in. They began to climb. The sheer cliff face ascended for miles.

Damas looked up at the cliff face and wondered what was up there waiting for them. He knew that it wasn't going to be easy, far from it. As he continued to climb he looked down and knew that he shouldn't have.

Four floaters flew up from below. They looked like large, leathery disks, but they were covered in long tentacles. All the four compatriots could do was hiss at them. They kept flying at them and wrapped their tentacles around the four. They lifted them up, and tried their best to strangle them, but the four used their claws and chopped away at the enroaching tentacles. The floaters flew up and up, until they were thousands of feet above the ground. Takatha sliced at the floater's stomach, and the beast began to lose control. Takatha grabbed a tentacle and began to steer the floater with it's own tentacle. The others did likewise. Soon they noticed they had gone to the wrong cliff. They were now flying directly at Ganth's semi-ruined castle. They were now over a cliff, and the floaters now found a burst of newly gathered strength. The tentacles attacked again, but now the four really did cut them to kill. The floaters went out of full control. They smashed on to the steep cliff face and began to slide to where the sheer wall awaited them. The vampires and werwewolf and Kain put their claws into the rock. One of Kain's gold claws, bent at an irregular angle, and another one went flying away completely. Then all stopped, feet away from the sheer wall. They began to climb, and directly under them, they saw a bohemian blue shape. It was Azur! He didn't look up, thankfully. So the four began to climb cautiously. They soon found a small cave, and entered it. They all collapsed with the exertion of their strength. Then, just a few hundred feet away, Azur suddenly lifted up, and flew back towards the castle, muttering about how badly he wanted to kill Ganth.

Damas watched Azur and was instantly struck with a sense of awe and fear. Here was the biggest creature that he had ever seen in his life and it was flying just above them. He let out a gasp which caused the two vampires and Kain to look at him and put their fingers to their lips. Damas went silent and looked up at the dragon who flew majestically through the air, obviously looking for Ganth. He then shouted out Ganth's name which caused the mountain side to shake and the group to cover their ears.

Damas turned to Takatha and said, "How are we meant to get into the castle now. Azur will more than likely spot us and kill us instantly and I personally would like to live long enough to get this curse lifted."

"Notice that Azur has been checking the ground for hours", said Takatha. And seconds later, Azur flew out and headed for the ground, clutching at a ruby in his throat. He took care not to try to rip it out, although he spoke a few curses about the crystal.

Damas looked at the ruby and his eyes widened. He turned to Takatha and said, "How did Ganth get control of Azur. I noticed the ruby in his throat and everyone that has one of those stinking rubies is under that fiend's control."

Damas turned to Takatha and let out a growl then said, "What else did you forget to mention vampire. You bring me here into the middle of this land and don't tell me everything- what are you leaving out!"

"Just about nothing, anymore. Aside from the fact that now, as we speak, we have blundered into a gargoyle cave. Looks like the royal cave to me. These are true gargoyles, Damas. They only live to die for the Gargoyle King", said Takatha. And even as he finished those words, thousands of red eyes flashed in the darkness.

Damas looked around to see all the gargoyles coming towards them. He growled when he saw them come into the light but saw that they were greatly out numbered and would be killed before even having a chance to get away.

"This way", they hissed frightfully, pointing towards a huge empty cavern, as if their lives depended on it. Which they did.

Damas walked towards the cavern and looked around to see that they were pretty much trapped. There was no way that they were going to get out of this alive if they decided to fight so Damas resigned himself to his fate and stood there, wondering what was going to happen next because everything that had happened to him while he had been in this land had been nothing good.

OOC: Morgoth...I read where you need people to RP in this thread..so if you have an idea what kind of char you want to fit in here let me know...

OOC: Any kind you like! Thank god, finally, somebody else. Just not Ganth or the other bad guys, okay?

Circe

OOC: Okay..how about a magic user who is looking for revenge for the death of her brother? I will post if and when you approve that idea.

OOC: Wonderful! Revenge against who, though? Not vampires or werewolves? Just kidding, against anyone you like!

IC: Takatha let himself be drawn towards the large room. Inside sat the gargantuan Gargoyle King on a throne. On the ground was a large viewing pool. He could see through this pool and into the world around very easily.
