Nope, nope, nope. You can't look at genetic statistics like that.

Even today, within a safe and healthy society, only fifty percent of the population actually reproduces.

All that the figures mean is that some time ago, the native American population was near extinction, down to a scant few tribes. (Tribes are extensions of family groups, so there's a lot of common genetic info.) Now, every member of a tribe might carry genes of a common ancestor, but that doesn't mean that this ancestor was all by himself when he lived.
