I love your pond, look at all those Lilies. Do they flower? I have a small pond a fraction of the size of yours but I do now have Frogs and this year Pond Skates. I need to take a lot of the plants out and rationalise them, it's got a bit over grown. I'll probably cut them all back by about two thirds. If I could get newts then I'd be happy. I found one in the garden last winter but still none in the pond.a few more...

i enjoy taking snaps with my phone and my tiny brit garden was pretty nice, too.
anyway, there are benefits and drawbacks wherever one lives, i guess. Remain everlastingly thankful the UK still has a National Health Service, seriously. It's insanely expensive over here. Make sure brits never lose it, despite various governments trying to ruin it!

There is a second retaining wall, just were I was standing to take the pic. Both of which I built when we moved in. I did have fish and I tried introducing frogs but the fish just said yum yum caviar when they spawned. Once the last fish died the frogs took over. I like them better. I've tried Lilies but not had much success. My pond is about 24 inches deep. 150 gallons.so pretty! love that brick retaining wall and it's hard to beat english countryside (imo). brick walls and sunken gardens
your pond is cute but i bet it still takes some work keeping it tidy.... ours isn't aerated and mostly just serves as home to frogs, dragon flies, and the lilies..yeah, they flower and have to be thinned...and a drinking post for the dog and outdoors cats and wandering wildlife. It's shallow, too, so not good for fish in the heat or cold and i have to get masses of fallen leaves out every year. the fish live in the cow pond.

I live in Northampton. Never hear the frogs at night. We get retched seagulls here now, the big bastard Herring gulls, what a racket they make in the morning as it gets light. I’m about as far from the coast in any direction. They need to go home

Ha..burger bandits a 9 oclock
They studied some gulls on a holiday resort and worked out that one of them was the ringleader and would gang up to mob tourists of there chips. I hope it croaked of heart disease.
