Be careful if you want a General Election NOW.
Labour is still fatally split between corbynite supporters and pragmatists. Sir Keith Starmer has been trying to bring his party together and closer to the centre, but the corbynites and trade unions are pulling to the far left.
It all depends on what he can get agreement for in the party manifesto. If it is anything like the 2020 manifesto - he would lose and we might have a hung parliament with even more instability. At present, the corbynites and the trade unions - Labour's paymasters - would insist on some of the unfunded pledges, such as nationisation, from 2020. That would spook the markets if Labour was anywhere near a majority, and if they won? The pound would tank far more than it has now.
If a General Election were to be called now, yes, the Conservatives would lose seats, but enough to break their majority. Possibly not.
Be careful. Only if Labour can present themselves as sensible and financially prudent (which they have never been since 1945) have they got a slim chance of being a government.
If the current government lasts the next two years, Sir Keith Stramer would have a better chance of changing the Labour Party and a better chance of winning. But now? There will be considerable pain within Labour as they try to change. He and Labour aren't ready yet.
