Bloody hell! There's a fat profit in that! Bullet vibe, about £10 retail; bluetooth headset, about £10 retail; integrate the two and charge £140 for it... Wow. Now there is a quick way to make money!

It's Shortbus, by John Cameron Mitchell and it's wonderful. It's not entirely for laughs though, it raises some really good questions about sex and sexuality.

Recently G4 aired a special about technology and sex toys.

I think there's a large degree of people who cyber through various instant messaging services (I know, I get a cookie for pointing out the obvious), but what about a vibrator controlled via IM (whether bluetooth or usb wired)?

Ah,but the most intriguing part of this timeline is the last section,i.e." 2010?".What lies ahead for us all as technology continues to evolve and those in our lifestyle find more means of control via these new technologies.
A few possibilities come to mind here:
For the long distance relationship,imagine a collar packed with all sorts of miniaturized technology.This collar would feature such things as a web camera built-in that allows the dominant to see what his submissive is seeing in real time,a minature microphone of course would allow real time audio monitoring as well.The collar could also contain sensors that monitor such things as pulse and body temperature,ideal for monitoring denial orders.
The dominant could of course communicate with the submissive via this collar as well.Envision if you will the present day technology known as Blue Tooth,transmitting spoken orders from the collar to ear rings, so equipped to transmit these discrete,spoken orders.
Certainly if the spoken orders did not have the desired effect,a shock feature could be incorporated into this collar,another technogy that is already existent at present.

an all in one collar huh? While I must admit that sounds very intreiging and exciting to say the least, my concern would be for discreetness. I would imagine such a collar would be very evident to the average eye.

Well that is one of the miracles of miniaturization-the collar appears to be no different from any other collar.
