I was looking through the forums to answer some questions and came upon this page. I’m new to Literotica and just published my first piece called Portmanteau Ep 1. After reading a great deal of erotica and looking for my niche on this site, I chose to use a portmanteau format which is a great way to tell three loosely associated stories as one.

It’s more of a movie format than written fiction (Pulp Fiction is a Portmanteau) but it's a fun way to tell a story by overlapping sequences, offering several points of view and treating the reader to a variety of characters and their erotic adventures.

While the Series is called Portmanteau, the only episode published is Episode 1. However, I plan on dropping a new episode every month for a year. Each episode wraps up its three stories nicely, but in future episodes some of the characters or situation return for additional adventures.

If you find the time to read this piece, I would be happy to hear some feedback which will help me moving forward. If the odd structure doesn’t work for you, please let me know as well.

Thanks, I tend to agree but the site owners seem to have a policy that re-categories things if they have a picture in no matter what category you choose as the author.

The site makes that clear in the FAQ.

I suspect it's to do with technicalities behind the scenes, such as a dedicated server to handle larger image file sizes, plus knowing all imagery is in one location and gets thoroughly vetted to make sure it's compliant.

My newest story just dropped this morning. My first of the year. I've listed it under Exhibitionist&Voyeur Because thats where it feels right, but there is a definite BDSM undertone to it. It is called "Visiting Master Ch 1"

I have to agree with the good doctor.

If you make yourself write something you don't want to, it isn;t going to work. I probbaly have a good 10 stories in various stages. When the time is right more will be written on them, but if inspiration strikes, I will start #11 without even thinking about it.

Eventually I either go back to them, or they die a well deserved death. Like I am writing a long story and mini stories in the same world keep occuring, and with each mini I write the main one gets stronger in my mind.

Write what you want Its not a paper with a deadline after all And even if there is a deadline, better to re-start with a new idea than force an idea you don't want to write.

This is exactly why there were 11+ years between my last published stories. I don’t really consider myself an author, just a breeder of stories that finally break free. I do find that my ability to start/complete/ release those stories is fully connected to what’s happening in my personal life. Notably that I live a very solitary life in terms of romance partnerships. Sometimes it’s merely creating a shadow of what I wish to experience with a partner. When I am inspired to write, and let me be clear, it IS an inspiration, my MO is to write and edit nonstop until it’s done. It feels very compulsory, leading me to believe the necessary release of the story is more powerful than the ideas that swim around gathering steam.

I haven’t discovered the trick to getting sustained, constructive feedback though. I’d love more of that.

Just posted my first story for 2023 . . . For the Love of Babysitting

Amy (19) loves to babysit. The reason? Most of that is down to her uncle. His wife misses nothing and soon brings up Amy's affections, convinced that Amy wants nothing more than to bed her husband. He denies it all, but who is right, and what will come of it all, or should the question be who will cum of it all?

"Suzy, what exactly did you mean when you suggested for somebody else? You know it's just you and me, and as much fun as you can handle," Jack replied, both asking his wife and providing the obvious, and truthful, answer.

There was a pause before Suzanne responded.

"You sure?" Suzanne teased. "I've seen the way she looks at you."

"You gotta believe me... I'd never do anything like..." Jack immediately tried to justify himself.

Suzanne saw the funny side of how her husband was busily trying to dig himself out of an imaginary, and non-existent, hole. It was too much and, before long, she started giggling.

"Did I say something funny?" Jack asked, now rather confused as to where this conversation was going.

"Awww, come on Jack. Do I need to spell it out for you?" Suzanne replied.

As she replied, Suzanne pulled herself up off the bed and looked down at her husband. Oh yes, she was going to have fun spelling this one out for him, but not from here. It would be much better up on top. Taking Jack by surprise, Suzanne swung her legs round and climbed over her husband. After some effort, she finally straddled his hips. Suzanne leaned forward and placed her hands firmly against his forearms, in a sign of dominance.

"I said... do I need to spell it out for you?" Suzanne repeated. "Or... are you going to admit that you noticed it?"

"Noticed what?" Jack asked.

"Noticed the way she looks at you? You could hardly miss it," Suzanne repeated.

"You've lost me. What do you mean... the way she looks at me? Who looks at me?" Jack kept asking.

The answer, when it finally came, was just as surprising as the question itself.

"Amy... that's who," Suzanne clarified.

"No way!" Jack exclaimed. "Not Amy... she's my brother's little girl... she wouldn't--"

"Little girl?" Suzanne asked, cutting her husband off mid-sentence. "How old do you actually think she is?"

For a moment Jack was speechless. Suzanne had a point. Amy was no longer the little girl who had started to babysit for them. She had to be nineteen if not twenty and had blossomed out to be a beautiful young woman. Still though, Jack wasn't sure how this conversation had moved onto his niece.

Hello, all. I'm new here. My first story, a taboo/incest fantasy entitled "A Very Happy 19th Birthday," just went live. A cousin has her heart set on seducing her male cousin. Both are 19. You'd think she'd have it easy, as they're in a family of nudists, and have to share the same bed. But her beloved cousin is a little too good for his own good.

When they get their chance to be alone, she decides she's going to fix that little problem!

Like all of my stories, it is set in Texas.

P.S. Several times I mention how warm it can be in Texas. Even in December/January, temps in the 80's-90's are not uncommon in the Southern regions of the state. At one point one of the characters says it'll be impossible to get too cold because it is "8 degrees outside." Oh, the foibles of editing. That should have been 80F-degrees. Even I, an avowed anti-metric system heretic, know 8-degrees C is still way too damn cold! Damn it!

I wish Lit would let us go back and correct our mistakes! It bothers me that I found a single typo in my story (Tory’s Emergence, if you’re interested.) after it was published, though, i’m sure there are others.

You can resubmit your story with the typos corrected and minor amendments made. See a full how-to -do it at FAQs>Publishing>Editing Published work.. The key info is;

'Simply submit the new version using the same method you submitted the previous one (as a new story), only adding the word “EDITED” to the title (ex. “My Sexy Firefighter Ch. 03 - EDITED”) so that we know to replace the old text with the new text. We will then replace the original text with the new text. Your story will retain its previous voting score, views, favorites, and comments.

Note: If “Story Title - EDITED” does not fit in the title field, simply type “STORY EDIT” in the title field. In the Note to Admin field, type the full title of the story to which the new edit should be applied.'

My 750 Word Story entry:

Brooke Works at the Hardware Store

One of my urban encounters.

She's seen me through winter, wearing her tight fitting jeans and a blue fleecy top with the name of the store and her name sewn on it, over her right breast. During the hot summer she wears shorts and a lighter top that shows the outline of the bra cupping her breasts, with her name sewn into the cloth.
