New "stories series" category

Hello folks. Haven't been on here in a while -- life is too full to do eveything. Just wondering if the new category "Story Series" is going to replace "Novels and Novellas"? If so, will the stories in "Novels" be transfered to the new "Story Series"? And other than the new subcategories, what is the intent of the new category? The reason I'm asking is -- I'm ready to upload my first story of more than 10 chapters (more then 10 pages each), one every couple weeks. I was planning to place it in the Novels category, but maybe I should place it in the Story Series? What do you think?

I'm not sure that is a new category, I think it just may be a quicker way to help people find things.

"Story Series" was instituted some time ago. It hasn't seemed to have any effect on "Novels and Novellas." The Web site hasn't shared any information on this with the users, though, so the only one who can answer your questions is Laurel (who you'd have to reach by PM, the message system at the top right of this page).

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe the Story Series category isn't so much a distinct category as a tool for finding multi-chapter stories of all categories. I believe that if you upload your story to the intended destination it will show up there and in the Story Series section simultaneously. I could be wrong, but that's my interpretation.

I agree. It is simply a separate search for multi chapter series, its not its own category. You can find series from every category in it.
