Category Questions - Where does my story go??

I don't know why but I have so much anxiety around the categories on Literotica. 😅

Usually it's very clear where my stories fit, but for October I had this fun idea about a chaotic witch using sex to sort of fuel her magic. My issue is I have no idea where to put it. I know that the witch character is going to engage in a plethora of sex acts with all kinds of different people. There will be straight sex, gay sex, lesbian sex, maybe some orgies, demon sex. I mean, it's going to be a lot of different things.

My plan is to break it into chapters/parts. Would it be best to simply put each chapter under the appropriate category and hope the readers that want to read the whole thing can find it all? Or make it all fit into one category? If one category is preferable where would this thing go? Erotic horror? I don't think it's going to be particularly frightening. What about when it shifts to the side story with the gay male sex? Doesn't that trump the Erotic horror heading?

I'm still writing the thing, but each time a new element pops in I go down the category spiral again. Thoughts? Help?

My thoughts...
In the past, I wrote a series which had 17 chapters. Three of the chapters I put into a different category because I thought it would fit better.

Long story short: Those chapters got lost and I received so many emails asking for what happened to the missing chapters.
It was chaotic.
My advice is. Decide on a category where the majority of the story will live and put all of the chapters in there.
If it's a good story and attracts readers, they will accept the changing scenarios.

Many readers I've discovered only read in one category. If you post some of the story in other categories. You will lose those readers.

Just my thoughts

It sounds like every chapter will feature the supernatural elements, of the main character’s power and its source, so I’d put it all in SF&F.
What @TheLobster said...the magical elements do sound like the overarching theme/idea here, so SF&F seems like the best fit...

How long in total? Words, or whatever.

There's a Halloween contest going on for stand alone stories, so if you can cram it all into one not too long story, it might work.

There's your answer - sci-fi and fantasy.

Finish the story in its entirety before selecting a category. It should be much clearer to you, and it will way clearer for your readers.

Thanks everyone for the input! I have read the Love Your Readers piece, which was helpful but then I started worrying about the "trump" categories.
I think it will all go in to SF&F, but I might try to finish the whole thing before deciding as was suggested.
Thanks again! You all are the best!
