Sorry for your misunderstanding, but this issue is not just a right-wing thing. Living in Virginia, the legislature is controlled by Blue and they passed the law restricting pornography. In fact at the time of passage it was all controlled by Blue and they use the excuse of children. You see they are the ones that do not want to hold parents responsible for their kids, they want everyone else to suffer.

I know individuals who are so-called Blue and are also conservative, evangelical christians and vote the pulpit, especially in southern states. This issue of censorship has been going on for decades, and it's the right-wing, evangelical christians who have constantly and consistently worked to destroy the separation of church and state to impose censorship. And it looks like they're succeeding.
"evangelical christian conservative right" and the Blue and Red refer to the political parties of which the Republicans are considered the conservatives. You are trying to put it as a religious control of what is viewed and it is not in Virginia. Here it is the fight of making others responsible for the kids actions and letting the parents off the hook for raising their children. This comes up in many things not just trying to censor what is viewed.
