New Milestones Thread

I have 50 followers as of an hour or so ago.

And while I know that that doesn't make much of an impression on those of you who have 100's of followers... well, I started with zero followers and now have 50. I'm kind of awed/impressed/grateful.
Hey! I also recently broke 50! Took a few months. I'm still shocked I have any, to be honest. It's not that I think my writing is bad, it's just... I dunno, it's cool, though! Welcome to the club!

The number can grow quite fast when you publish new material.

My count was 194 at the turn of the year, and it is now 225. Why? Probably because I have published seven stories so far this month.

Not so much a milestone, but I completed the manuscript for my latest book and submitted it to the ECO on October 3rd. I'm stating this to ask, has anyone else submitted a work around or since that timeframe and gotten their case closed out? That is now almost 4 months that have passed and I'm pondering whether I need to send a two-word inquiry to my federal government. I've got a draft made up consisting of the following question: Da Fuck?! Of course, my submission was 1-2 days post the government shutdown. I do note they were not so "shut down" as to not process the $65 fee, that hit my bank immediately. Anyone else send anything to the ECO?

Hey! I got StacNashed! Does that count? Not sure what I did to deserve the honor really 🤔. No comment, but did apparently put a story I wrote a year ago into one of their lists; not sure which one as it hasn't appeared yet but does it matter? I went through those and no matter which one I end up in I'll be in the company of LitE giants! I do wonder if they understand that this really isn't offensive for a writer who's been here 3 yrs and has a whopping 156 followers? 🤷. I feel kinda special actually😂.

It counts! Yeah it took a day for their comment on my story to appear. A day between them putting my story on a list and commenting. I dunno whether their comments are still being moderated or if they put it on a list and then spend a day compiling their comment.

You'll read a lot of comments about how Stacnash only has negative things to say, how she hates everyone and always tears them down.

But she has 19 stories on her 1* list, 19 stories on her 2* list, and 19 stories on her 5* (14 stories) and Elite (5 stories) lists together. So there's half as much chance of you getting a very positive review as a very negative review. I bet most creators would take 1 in 3 odds of an excellent good review by a harsh critic.

I dunno if it's taboo to say or something, but their comment on your story was actually pretty kind. Even if they didn't like it very much, they weren't cruel vicious like they are on some comments.

Yeah I know, even if I don't entirely agree with many of their points. Like jeans and a milkmaid blouse, you'd need to not know what a milkmaid blouse looks like to think someone insecure about their body wouldn't wear that.

My take away though was that I need to dive deeper into peoples heads. Or not care that people aren't getting the hints I'm putting out there.

What story?

I often wonder if people will get some of the things I reference, especially if they're younger readers, then I decide that I don't really care. They can ask Siri or copilot if they're confused
