When Wayne and Anne had fallen asleep during the second movie they had missed at least half of it. They got up turned off the TV and got ready to go to bed. "Why don't you see if your girlie has replied."
"I thought you didn't care," he said a bit grumpily as he was still half asleep and bumping into furniture.
"I don't, but I am curious as to how this will all end up."
"All right," he said as he rubbed his eyes, "but I want to go to bed, ............to sleep."
"Spoilsport," she laughed.
Wayne went and turned on the computer and waited for it to finish coming on, which seemed to take forever, and finally it did. He opened up the Email and there was a message. Anne retired at a discreet distance in case it was something personal he might want to keep private, though he rarely if ever did that.
"There is a message from Marie," he said as he opened it and read it.
Wayne,
I'm just wanting to let you know I've gotten your emails, and I'm sorry I haven't gotten to answer them till now. I have been very busy today. I cross-stitched and then took a much needed rest, even enjoyed a light salad.
Not very exciting is it, but I find myself bored right now, and thought I would write you a quick jot.
This weekend at the cabin won't work after all. I'm sorry about that. Perhaps later on, I hope though that until we are able to meet again, we'll continue to keep in touch.
Well I have to go, I'll talk with you again later.
Marie.
"HMMM that's odd," said Wayne as he considered the message.
"What does it say," asked Anne a bit impatiently.
"Here you read it and tell me what you think."
Anne read it and then read it again and finally said, "looks like sourpuss is throwing his weight around, I bet you never see her again."
Wayne sighed and said, "that's what I thought, that is about never seeing her again, I am not so sure about Alan."
Anne shrugged her shoulders and went to bed. Wayne sat there reading it and finally decided a formal answer was in order.
Marie
Glad to hear from you, sometimes boring afternoons are very enjoyable. I hope to see you again as well, and will definitly keep in touch. Hope everything is all right, and you are okay, and Alan as well, say hello for me.
Wayne
HE put his finger on the enter key but then backed off as he wanted to say something more intense and more personal, but he thought that might be a bad idea. So insted he added a PS
