Netflix and Chill

I haven't heard of Skystream, then again I hadn't heard of Kodi before now. It really is awesome. As long as you have a strong wifi system then all is great.

Sorry to derail the thread.

It's Kodi, same thing but built and sold by a company rather than an individual.

I use both Netflix and Amazon prime.

My absolute favorites are Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. Read both the books and/or graphic novels for these.

I don't let myself watch tv unless I'm multi-tasking by working out on the treadmill, so watching tv can be very slow for me. However, now that it's getting cold, I'm working out more. Right now I'm also adding in the mix:

  • Doctor Who (just started season 2)
  • Supernatural (just started, beginning of season 1, wow, tons of episodes!)
  • American Horror Story

These were fun to watch.

  • Breaking Bad
  • Orange is the New Black

I should look into the Amazon Firestick!

I've purchased Z Nation to watch if I ever catch up. Also hear House of Cards is amazing, but if you look at my tv shows I do watch, there seems to be a theme, and HoC just doesn't seem to fit, lol.

Interesting. Wish I'd known more about this prior to purchasing my Roku 3. But this reminds me of big dish satellite TV where people were getting free service until new software and such shut them down.
Overall I'm not displeased with the cost and programing in Netflix.

Yeah, it was $175 but I've had no satellite or cable bill now for 4 months. I can stream nearly anything you can think of and never pay any subscriptions or anything. It's not perfect, but it works. My internet speed is around 15 Mbs.

Kodi is free... You don't need the firestick... Download kodi on a laptop, hook up an hdmi cable (and hard wire the laptop to your router for faster service) and you're set. There are walk throughs that are super simple to follow on how to install "channels", but I only put on genesis and have no complaints.

I still pay for Netflix because it is convenient and my son can access his kiddie shows. Also, the smart TV works nicely with Netflix.

As to what I watch... Daredevil, game of thrones, flash, hell on wheels, walking dead.. To name a few. Behind on most though as I rarely find time to sit in front of the TV.

Some of my favorites shows on Netflix
-Sherlock (BBC show. Modern day adaptation. So amazing. )
-Breaking Bad (give it 3 episodes and you will be hooked)
-White Collar (1st 3 seasons are fantastic)
-Death in Paradise (another BBC show that is pretty good)

I watch a lot of Netflix. Over the weekend I watched a bunch of parkour action movies.

Brick Mansions was pretty pointless. The original District 13, and the sequel, are still the tops.

Run and Tracers were ranked as 2-star movies, and that seems about right. The stories were meh, but the characters were likable and the action was cool.

Jessica Jones was really good. If you are into that kind of show, Arrow is pretty good.

Jessica Jones! After that, I watched David Tenant (Tenent, Tenet, who cares) as the Doctor, and I could not stop thinking of him as a creepy mind fucker. Plus there's some pretty hot sex in it.
I thought Jessica Jones was great, though I thought Tennet just channeled an evil version of Dr. Who, not a bit shift.

Jessica Jones was pretty awesome.

I would highly, highly recommend Marking a Murderer. On Netflix. It's a 10 part, 10 hour documentary about a guy wrongfully convicted of murder and all the problems he had afterwards. I'll let you Google the details, but don't read too many reviews because you'll ruin it.

It's kind of an emotional roller coaster, from anger to sadness to happiness.

If your in the mood for a cheesy teen coming of age show I suggest video game highschool. It's cute.
