There is indeed a link between nerdiness and BDSM, although it can not be said that all nerds are into BDSM (or any aspect of it) -- just that they are more open minded & knowledgeable and therefore more likely to try it as part of their growth processes.

Mmmm, I can see that--any good nerd would rather know something by experiencing it, or through experimentation and observation, rather than just believe a priori that 'BDSM is bad' or some nonsense like that...
