nerdy chicks

I'm doing just fine...except that I have to go to bed! Sorry for beating a dead horse or something, but I didn't look at the last post date. Nonetheless, it's all true. I look forward to chatting with you sometime soon!

OK, Bash, we have another victim!

Oops, did I say that out loud?;)

ChemE, glad you migrated over here to check out this thread--there are LOTS of guys around who dig chicks who are "dedicated to their science fiction and their studies." Plus, anyone knows that people who like writers like Robert Heinlein are likely to have a somewhat, Bacchanalian view of sex:D .

When I was in college, ChemE was known as the major where if you couldn't quite cut it, you could always major in something much easier like Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics. I was friends with two ChemE majors, and they had to be among the most brilliant people I've ever known.

If it's any indication, I started as a MechE major and then self-selected out!

I have to agree with ChemE being a difficult major; there were certainly times when I wanted to switch to something easy like computer science or English. On the other hand, I've got a great job lined up at a time when most of my friends don't, so I guess all that hard work has paid off.

I think, however, that it is unfortunate that ChemE has such a well-earned reputation. Honestly, men never assume a chemical engineer could be sexy. It just doesn't happen. I guess that's why I'm hanging out on Lit and chatting with people who don't hate me for sitting around and destroying the curve, you know? Tell me, though...what is it exactly about glasses that would appeal to someone? I always assume I look, well, nerdy. I just found contacts pretty annoying. I'm just continually glad to hear that the world takes all kinds.

i for one think that glasses convey a sense of something when a girl wears them. I like the black frames especially, but most frames can be sexy. Maybe it's a sense of power... I dunno. I do that what makes glasses sexy on a woman for me isn't so much how they look, but what they can convey. Does that make any sense?

by the way...

my major is macroeconomics with a minor in political sciece if anyone cares. I'm a 'save the world' type. Or maybe i'm just dillusional

Right...I was thinking it must be something like that...

BTW, sorry about the limericks thing! I haven't had time to come up with any good rhymes, so I didn't want to start challenging again! I really had fun with you in the first round, though. ;)

Of course we care, and you're not dillusional. I'm not sure exactly why that was inserted here, but we all like to learn things about each other. That's why I play this silly questions game all the time.

i had fun too. i think we both shouldn't quit our day jobs though. we should leave it to the pros. like cookie and bigbear. but i'll go again sometime if you want.

i thought you guys were talking about majors and stuff. i just wanted to give some background for you and roman... and anyone else

My lady as an older man, a lady with glasses apart from being able to look sensual, tends to look more intelligent some would say at the cost of looks but I am more interested in a ladies mind because without the intelligence it is only sex and not lovemaking.

Yeah, you're probably right. I have good structure, but I'm not nearly creative enough with those things. I thought some of the imagery you used was excellent, though. 'Pink lotus' indeed. *L*

I guess we were talking about majors in the sense that they're all easier than chemical engineering!! ;)

Yeah, plus only the intelligent ones know you were kidding about your advice for women. ;)

i think they cheat though. we do it on the fly... (at least that what i tell myself.) bigbear is in another category all together though

Thanks! Abm, I doubt you could ever tell a woman too often that you think she's sexy. And yes, they are DEFINITELY in a class all their own. ;)

My Education for Women afraid it was obvious but still some ladies bit, some men were pretty pathetic in their replies but you are correct my lady

I know, darling. I stood up for you all along, as I've seen that your posts are always made with utmost respect for women. Besides, I thought it was pretty darn funny.

What is the attraction of chicks with glasses? I think for some guys it borders on a fetish...something that gives the impression of intellectualism (not the same as intelligence) which also suggests power...I think the same way that some men really like seeing women in 'men's' clothing. Plus, with the popularity of contacts, wearing glasses is becoming almost iconoclastic, representing a rebellious attitude--although IMHO, that gets a bit too close to posing.

Gee--with that syntax, can you tell that I'm brain-dead?

Anyhow, don't let popular perceptions of women engineers deter you from feeling and being sexy...I dated a few women engineers in college, and they were ALL sexy in the right ways!

Don't underestimate the value of a liberal arts major;) . I downshifted from engineering to International Relations (with a focus on transnational technology policy, just to maintain my natural nerdiness), and though I haven't saved the world, I'm eternally thankful that I made the switch. Going polisci doesn't mean that you're deluded!

But if your major is macro, does that mean that you're a quant jock? Economists I think qualify as nerds now--any issue of the American Economic Review looks as technical as Physics Today!

He he he...I have a date with a sexy woman engineer tonight!

Of course, it's only because she didn't want to go by herself...but she is the only woman at my university with whom I've ever made out. ;)

Other than sense of humor, intelligence is the sexiest thing about a woman. Sorry, I don't care how good you look, if you don't have any brains, you won't be getting into my pants (ok you might ONCE, but no more, and I won't enjoy it ;) lol )

I've noticed that going to the bookstores, you meet some really smart women, usually attractive ones as well, great place to meet the ladies

just wanted to put my two cents in

Roman,

i heard the other day that economists were put on this planet to make astrologists look good. I couldn't begin to tell you how much fun my friends are having producing senior theses thats stated solution to every social ill it to basically stand back and watch the market do its magic. The funny part is the 19 appendices and artwork that accompany it. it's a hoot.

Well, most folks that I know like sunglasses on a person. They even use sunglasses in commercials to portray sexy images. So why would regular glasses not be sexy? :)

OK, you have got to STOP making casual posts like this, or someone here's gonna have a heart attack!;)

I've gotta say, va_angel, that sunglasses convey a completely different image and connotation than your typical horn-rimmed or square, Buddy Holly-style glasses! Sunglasses are equated with 'cool,' not usually 'nerdy' or intellectual...

Which brings up the question posed I think by Douglas Adams--why is it cool not to show your eyes? Like how guys try to look cool by drooping their eyelids--is it even cooler to just go to sleep?
