Another question: do you like to wear sexy underwear while you talk about string theory? Can you be hot and intellectual simultaneously?

This has gotta be one of the cutest posts so far! Made me smile. :) And since it's a good question, and I have an opinion on it (am I one to hold back with my feelings? lol) I'm gonna answer, even if your question was directed to SexyGeekette in particular. :D Part of the fun of being a nerdy chick, jdu, at least as far as I'm concerned, is knowing what you've got in you (and beneath your clothes) that some people miss out on because they take you to be a prude. I'm such a lingerie addict... I think it's so much fun to have something sexy on under a conservative outfit. Even better, I love conservative clothes that can be 'adjusted' to become one of the sexxxiest outfits ever. Like this black skirt and button-down shirt I have... throw on a red bra and panties set underneath it, and when the time is right, undo a few buttons to let the bra show, roll the waistband of the skirt a bit to shorten it up, let down your hair and shake it out... add in a 'sexy bitch' attitude and you've got one heck of a combo. GRRROWL!

You guys have no idea how happy I was to see this thread! I'm a self-proclaimed nerd... and I actually get insulted if someone tries to tell me I'm NOT a nerd! lol I wear glasses, I'm intelligent (or so I'd like to think), I've got OODLES of 'strange' hobbies, and I just used the word oodles! Need any more proof? lol I've always enjoyed standing out from the crowd. If someone tries to lump me in with the Abercrombie & Fitch kids (I'm not saying that if you wear this brand you're automatically someone I dislike; I'm talking about the people who choose their clothing by brand, because it's 'in'), I'll kick them in the shins. Likewise with nearly any fad. I stand my ground, and always will - whether it fits what society expects of me or not. More often not. :) I happen to think I'm more interesting that way. There's more to discover about a person who doesn't fit a mold, and when that includes intelligent, witty, and interesting conversation along the way... not to mention the mind-games you can play with each other that take flirting to a whole new level!... I consider it the ultimate in sexy. For me, intelligence goes hand-in-hand with my sense of humor, though, so that's very important to me, too. Make me laugh till I pee, and I'm yours... ;)

Mandie

P.S. I love the word dork... to me, it's the biggest compliment I can give someone! I AM A DORK AND I'M RAD BECAUSE OF IT!!! lol

I'm sending in my application to the cult :rose:

Good cults are ones that people can enjoy without remorse. But..I need to know the rules of the cult. Is this one where I get to admire intellectual girls and dream about their lingerie while talking about the origins of species, or the correlation of baboon mating habits with the interaction of humans in supermarkets.

Amazing

Um... yes. :D LOL Y'know, it's funny you should mention that... I happened to have done my senior research paper in high school on the correlation between baboon mating habits and the interraction of humans in supermarkets. Or was it the interaction of baboon supermarkets with mating humans? *scratches head, confused* I ferget.

Quite right. I expect a lot of girls want to let their minds expand, but still feel that it is difficult to be feminine and to a job like a computer scientist, engineer, etc. Good luck to you. Chaos rules.

Hold on--if you're talking about string theory, wouldn't you have to be wearing a thong?

Gotta love those band nerds, too...I was one once, and married one as well.

Thanks

Just wanted to say I am enjoying this thread. I was jock in high school and college but I refused to be stereotyped. In high school I was, "allegedly", involved in some pseudo gang activities but I was also a member of the chess cluband played D&D, while playing baseball and soccar. While I slept with a few "popular" girls, I only dated those with whom I could enjoy good conversation and laughter. I've always believed in knowing the person rather than the image. The personality is far more artful and erotic than the physical. So, for all the geeky ladies posting here

"Thanks for the mammaries...uh, memories!"

nerdy

interesting thread! hello to mandie.... nice to run into you here! also noelle from AZ, why are there AZ people on this thread???

I have both sides to me, on the one hand i'm a triathlete, which is often considered to be a bit nerdy/geeky- people obsessed with aerodynamics, drag coefficients of various handlebars and shoes, obsessive training that's overly structured (today is 8 times 1 mile at 150 heart rate on the bike with 30 sec rests, later on 4 times 600 yards in the pool with 15 sec rests, each set faster)... counting calories and fat grams, heart rate zone training with one of those fancy watches.... all that "stuff". Compared to grungy mtn bikers, trail runners or most other sports we're definitely the geeks of the athletic world.

I'm also a creative person in my professional life, which involves restaurants, menus, marketing and similar things.

I think a balance is good, like its good in all of life - do everything in moderation, especially moderation!~

Careful..important distinction! Now, the big question in the American space program is....did the Russians send up mixed crews so that they could really test the influence of zero gravity on the capacity of the ovum to generate a fertilization sheath and cone after penetration?

The second question is..Can we try it too?

Hi all new nerdy ladies and men that appreciate us :)

Missed a lot, so just going to jump in here......I also love the conservative clothes with sexy lingerie underneath. I am an engineer and often wear jeans, button down shirts and work boots.....but always have sexy underthings on. Makes me feel feminine even when getting dirty on a construction site.

Am proud to admit I was a band nerd as well......played D&D in the band room during free hours....dated a couple jocks that were smart enough to find intelligence attractive, although I think they also liked the homework help LOL

Walking over to DarlingPen, intending to help him stand up again....oopsss.......tripping over his leg.....ouch........ending up a crumped heap on the floor.....*blushing* well, feel at home DP  LOL

:rose: Mysti :rose:

I wonder if anyone on the boards is a bigger nerd than me? Probably not...

Anyone ever spend 48 hours playing D&D straight? (Ok, I know that borders...or takes a swandive into loserdom, but still...)

LOL I think you win that contest......but I have spent at least that long playing Diablo....and Doom before that LOL

mandi screw...

As for being on your list to screw...I sincerely hope you mean that in the carnal since and not metaphorical! <turning in rapid circles looking for knife...>

As far as chance (providing it's the carnal definition), I recall a probability (i.e. chance) course way back in college. Hmmm...to load the dice in my favor to better entice Mandie...OOPS! was I thinking out loud? The odds are pure "chance" I promise! Ignore my mumblings...

I don't know about nerdy, but intelligence and sensuality, have to be one of the sexiest things in the world. I guess it's semantics.
