You guys have no idea how happy I was to see this thread! I'm a self-proclaimed nerd... and I actually get insulted if someone tries to tell me I'm NOT a nerd! lol I wear glasses, I'm intelligent (or so I'd like to think), I've got OODLES of 'strange' hobbies, and I just used the word oodles! Need any more proof? lol I've always enjoyed standing out from the crowd. If someone tries to lump me in with the Abercrombie & Fitch kids (I'm not saying that if you wear this brand you're automatically someone I dislike; I'm talking about the people who choose their clothing by brand, because it's 'in'), I'll kick them in the shins. Likewise with nearly any fad. I stand my ground, and always will - whether it fits what society expects of me or not. More often not. I happen to think I'm more interesting that way. There's more to discover about a person who doesn't fit a mold, and when that includes intelligent, witty, and interesting conversation along the way... not to mention the mind-games you can play with each other that take flirting to a whole new level!... I consider myself a proud nerd/geek/dork. I've almost always been the smartest girl in the group and I used to feel that guys would never like me because of it.

Reading has always been my favorite activity and I have the reading glasses to attest to it. I routinely win trivia contests and now that I'm older and wiser I find it's a great way to meet guys.

This is my first post. I enjoy reading the stories. I have a very strong sex drive and hope to talk to like-minded guys.

Hey guys-

There are some of us women out here who are nerds / geeks and quite proud of it. I find I get a lot of attention from my classmates in my computer classes (I'm a programming major) because I am just as much of a geek as they are (if not more) and quite approachable. I have to stick with the geeks to find people who want to talk about things I find interesting, like computers, graphic novels, forensic science, string theory, exotic infectious diseases, literature, etc.

Rest assured, we exisit.

Quite right. I expect a lot of girls want to let their minds expand, but still feel that it is difficult to be feminine and to a job like a computer scientist, engineer, etc. Good luck to you. Chaos rules.

Another question: do you like to wear sexy underwear while you talk about string theory? Can you be hot and intellectual simultaneously?
