Nerds?

So.

Farscape?
Stargate?
seaQuest?

Anyone?

Farscape: Good for the first few seasons, but lost their way toward the end

Stargate: Loved the original, although never watched enough to be a fan. Spin-offs became convoluted

seaQuest, or as I called it seaQuest: BFD? the first season tried to tell realistic stories, and be environmentally friendly. Then they jumped thru time....that was it for me

I will throw out Sliders: great show until Jerry O'Connell left, then wtf?

Oh, I remembered the best Nerd Qualification! I have in my little collection, an original, first edition copy of the Marvel Roleplaying System

You may now begin to worship me

pffffft  Never liked D&D or any of its spawns. We played MERP which was fucking brutal, you never got too attached to a character, because they could very very easily get splatted at any point. And Rolemaster, a more rounded and realistic system than D&D. I also have the rulebook for MAsquerade the Gathering and one of the clanbooks for it, and probably a few other bits and pieces I;ve forgotten

If you've never taken a look at it, the Marvel system is fricking awesome. it has one table and the rulebook is really quite thin. And it works, seemlessly, perfect., Its very nicely thought through. WHich is probably why there's no advanced version or updates. Not needed

yes the constant updates, and expanded rules I feel have ruined D&D; supposedly 5th ed. solves a lot of that, and makes it simpler. But I miss the days in Boy Scouts, huddled in a tent after lights out, with only a pencil, paper, and set of dice to guide us on an epic adventure...

We were usually far too busy getting up to little good in the Scouts :D

little nerdy..

Going to FanExpo in September
Stan Lee is going to be there
Mark Hamill is going to be there
William Shatner is going to be there

I confess to fan girl scream and clapping when I saw the guest list

Nerd yes
Geek yes
Marvel YES

DC is growing on me - love The Flash tv show (annoyed Grant Gustin is not The Flash in the movies)

Star Wars - OMG yes
LOTR - one of my first books I ever read was The Hobbit and then into the Lord of the Rings (my original copy is so worn the spine broke - had to buy a new set)

Love Weird Al (and "White and Nerdy")

Went to DragonCon in 2014; met Walter Koenig (Chekov), he's getting old, met Peter Weller (Robocop), he's old and grumpy, met Stephen Collins (ST:TMP, 7th Heaven), he's a great guy, friendly and personable.....2 months later, it comes out he's a pedophile. FML

Suicide Squad.

What did you think? ( spoiler free of course )

Exactly that what I expected to happen/see. :D
I mean... Will Smith, Jared Leto and another 'Chris Evans case'(*), and a writer/director notorious for his character scripts.

Best of Suicide Squad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLAl1BRMPag

(*) "Margot who? No, seriously... I know you all think Margot is the perfect scasting and she's an absolutely awesome actress so let me rephrase my question: Margot Fkn who? :|"

Not yet...I should, but I have sooooo much to watch right now! I need to finish the last seasons of Arrow, Agents of Shield, Legends of Tomorrow....the list seems endless

That's entertainment. This is The Killing Joke.

It's like saying you first need to finish reading Stephanie Meyer's books before you can start reading LOTR.

I absolutely LOVED the Marvel game as a kid!

I've just gotten back into D&D after a 30+ year absence and man, am I bad at it.

Looking for something to watch to keep me awake. It's either Tennant's doctor, or Cumberbatch's Sherlock.
Decisions, decisions... :D
