While many people want Tekken Online I for one want them to wait awhile. If anyone here has played Virtua Fighter 2 (PC), Capcom VS SNK 2 EO (Xbox), or any of the various fighters that are currently online playable you would know how much they suck. A fighting game requires too much precise timing and any amount of latency kills the match. The industry is going to be watching Dead or Alive Ultimate next moth to see if a 3D fighter can do well in an online environment. It's been pretty onvious the 2D ones have been mediocre at best and the 3D versions have a harder battle.Tap-Out said:Does anybody know when they're going to release a Tekken game that can go "online" with the PS2? I think it would be so cool to go on and play aginst all you other litsters, and "the asian crew" that everybody keeps talking about. As I said I'm pretty much un-beatiable in TTT in my area (espically on a console), and I would LOVE to see how I stack up aginst the rest of the world. My can you imagine the online tournaments? Damn I'm getting all hot and bothered just thinking about it (or it could be all of CG's mighty fine pics doing that to me, I'm not quite sure).
Either way I'm still totally stoked for Gran Turismo 4 being online. I'm thinking of picking up the online adapter just to play that game. It's going to be sweet.
I definitely would like to see how my TTT playing stacks up against yours, but the best way is to do like me and play in tournaments. That way you know how you stack up against the US and the world.
Watch matches in TTT by Seok Dong Min (Korean) or Virtua Fighter Matches by Chibita (Japanese) and if you know a touch about the game you'll be impressed. I know there are many other great players just for these respective games, but I don't wanna bore people too much.
For the past years my musicianship has mostly been guitar, drums, or singing in various bands (punk/metal). Not trying to brag at all here, but letting you know that I have invested a lot of time into music in my life and still do.
