SC2 is better than T4, but VF4E is better than all.![]()

I guess I should have stoped by more often this weekemd instead of going to party it up for mardi gras. yeah. I got be a non-geek for about a day, but I'm back.
College_geek said:Wow! A lot sure has happened while I was gone all day at classes. Sometimes I wish I had a laptap so that I could post a little bit in between classes. That would be fun to check in once and a while.
In the light of fighting games, a fun but not that great fighting game was Ergheiz, or how ever that was spelled. It wasn't that great of a fighter game, but it was so much fun to play as Cloud and beat the crap out of Tifa (*is an avid Tifa hater*), or play as Sephiroth and kick Cloud's cute little ass.
I haven't played many fighting games, but even if I did, the Tekkens would probably still be my favorite.![]()
My normal idea of a party is one with some wings, some movies, and a few good friends. I'm not normally one to get crazy like a Mardi Gras thing, but if I was really hyper for some reason, I would probably do stuff. Like that time in Myrtle Beach where I really really wanted to flash for beads once my friends mentioned the idea....then they told me that they had already gone...Zergplex said:We forgive you for forsaking your geekyness for a day ^_~ everyone has lapses once in awile.... besides geeks like to party too!

Does not seem like over 10 years ago when I started playing them, and will I ever stop?Ergheiz was ok, but a bit too simple for my tastes. Powerstone has been the only fighter of similar vein I truly enjoyed, but it was very simple as well.College_geek said:Wow! A lot sure has happened while I was gone all day at classes. Hard to beat a good game of SF.YorkshireBear said:Morning guys.
GC - I was only playing Erghiez a few weeks ago!I never got really into it but it was pretty good.
The Street Fighter games will always hold a special place in my life, I went through a lot with Ryu and the gangDoes not seem like over 10 years ago when I started playing them, and will I ever stop?

Ah, I agree I have been playing the UT2k4 demo *A LOT*. Not a huge step up from UT2k3, but still hella fun to play.
Now back to trying to figure out what MMORPG I wanna spend my money on right now.![]()
YorkshireBear said:God Chrono Trigger was good!
Tap-Out said:My can you imagine the online tournaments? Damn I'm getting all hot and bothered just thinking about it (or it could be all of CG's mighty fine pics doing that to me, I'm not quite sure).
I always had to have Chrono. Then I usually had Merle, mainly because I had used her so much in the beginning that her healing was better than Frog's, and I was too lazy to up his abilities. The last person cycled around like a game of musical chairs. Sometimes it was Ayla, sometimes it was Lucca, sometimes it was Magus. Then on rare occasions would it be Frog or the Robot dude (sorry, I almost never used him, so I don't even remember the name...remember....played it once). Probably not the best choices for a team, but those were the characters I liked the best at the time.Zergplex said:Agreed, it was definatly my favorite game of all time...
What was your favorite team in the game?

YorkshireBear said:I doubt the next tekken will be online, local tournaments are always fun. As for playing against some of the Asian players they are very high class, same with the Korean players, with TTT at that level you only ever see Tier 1 matches with although very intense can be a little boring.

Tap-Out said:I would have to disagree slightly. I don't find those Tier 1 intense matches borring at all. For a spectator then yes, they can seem borring *player 1 throws a flurry, they get blocked, player 2 tries to counter, but those are blocked, lather, rince, repeat*. However for the people that actuially play the game, and are at a level above the "average and/or casual player" then those matches are exciting, because we know that just one mistake can cause you to loose the match, or get hurt, or anything like that. It's like most people find a good ju-jitsu match rather borring, because all they see are two guys looking like they're dry-humping each other with their gi's on. But for those of us "in the know" we look for different things, the positioning, leverage, loose body parts.
I think it all comes down to how much you can pick up from the match that determines how exciting it is. Just my $0.02 though, take it for what you will.

YorkshireBear said:I suppose the way out of this would be to make all the characters much more balanced to allow for a greater variety match ups. I’m still hoping we will see TTT2 before T5, hopefully one of these should clear up the balance issues lets hope its not rushed.

I did all but the last side quest, so yeah, I did get a lot of the insights. I'll probably play it again, eventually, when I get around to it...in a few years.Zergplex said:The robot dudes name was Robo (or Prometheus if you finished one of the side quests). Not a bad team, it's the team most people use to beat the game their first time. You should try it again and get a few of the sidequests, some of them give some nice insights on the story (since I'm not sure off the top of my head how many of them you finished)
