So, um, how's it goin', sexy? (waggles eyebrows) ;)

Hahaha! Yeah, I'm definitely taking a back seat to this conversation because I know nothing about OS's other than the fact that mine is 98 or 2000 upgrade (not sure  ), and I'm too stubborn to change.

And it's going pretty well, MagicTongue. :) So how magic is that tongue? :p

If only he were around right now to read and comment on that, but he went to play D&D for the evening with some friends of his. He'll probably be back later tonight, though. You don't know how happy it makes him to see comments like that. It brings a smile to his face. He's so glad that you like his pics. :rose:

Unlimited charges? I'll add that to my inventory! So when do I get to use it? Hehehehe... :p

Hehehe... that sure would make an interesting roleplay thing. I'll have to tell Zerg that I will play a tabletop RPG with him as long as it's just the two of us and has a demented hentai/fantasy plot. Kind of like the hentai Dragon Pink. Man, that was a horrible OAV, but I liked it anyway. Hehehe. I'll remember to use the wand of pleasure whenever I'm feeling horny on the quest. :rose:

Thank you so much! It makes me feel so happy to hear people say things like that, as CG said before. It brings a smile to my face literally. I appreciate it, it's good to know some people noticed me ^_^ if you liked my pics on the GLBT board you should look at the pics in my amateur pics thread. The link is directly below in my sig. Take a look.

Believe it or not CelticFrog actually recommended an idea similiar to a fantasy/hentai to me earlier with you as a dominant high elf and myself as the lowly human. It was intended as a roleplaying idea rather then a tabletop idea but it could be converted rather easily. I didn't think you'd like it so I had yet to mention it, though I added it to my personal list of ideas ^_^ hehehe sounds like a good idea to me. Now then. How many of you have played FF X-2? Good game but it takes forever to develop a storyline and make it interesting.

I have played the game, but not indepth. Eventually I will get around to it, but work has been taking up too much of my time lately -_- so many games and so little time.

On the plus side everyone can celebrate my promotion! Yay!

Windows, Mac OS, Unix, etc....all useful...Get over yourselves people. This horse is dead.

FFX-2 is garbage. It's absolutely nothing, but mindless fanservice. FF since FF6 has been garbage. Pretty garbage mind you, but still garbage.

Now back to your regularly scheduled "debate".

I have to disagree with the newer final fantasies being garbage. My heart still lays with FF4 as my favorite Final Fantasy (and among my favorite games) but I don't see why everyone hates the newer games. They do have good storylines to go with the updated graphics, I mean what did people expect them to make for their new games? Variety is the spice of life, I'm glad they spread the final fantasy series out a bit.

Then again I'm a hypocrite since I hate FF8 with all my heart and soul.

I'll have to say FFX-2 could have been so much better. The fanservice aspect takes precidence over the storyline, which hurts the game immesurably in my opinion. If you can get beyond that it doesn't appear to be a bad game. Admittedly I havn't beaten it myself, but I'v seen the majority of the game. I't just personal preference I guess.

Chrono Trigger is easily the second or third best RPG ever made. Right behind FF6, and it's a toss-up for second with FF4.

Too bad they butchered Chrono Cross. That game was just awful.

My party in CT was always Chrono, Frog, and Magus. Healing be dammed (although Frog did have a couple healing spells) just let me stomp things into little tiny puddles :) The idea of double and triple techs was ground breaking and added a whole new kick ass element to fighting.

I'm split about the PSX rendetion they did for the game however. It all looks and feels the same, and the new FMV's are really really cool, but my gawd they totally butchered the game with loading times. Every fight it freezes to load. Most spells it freezes to load. World map to town, yep you guessed it, it freezes to load. That soured the PSX version of it, so I happily play it on the computer via emulator :)

It takes a LOT to make me hate a game. Chrono Cross is up there on my list, just below FF8. I Actually throw CT at the top of my list, FF4 below it and FF6 in third. All are great games though, no matter which order they are in.

My favorite party was Lucca, Chrono (or Marle depending on the battle), and Magus. Lucca has always been my favorite character from the game (and among my all time favs). Magus is just the man, there is no denying it. Chrono would be my choice in new game plus since I perfer him to Marle in the long run, but first time through a game the healing (and triple tech) make up for having to keep her on my party.

New Game Plus also added a whole new level to the game, allowing you to explore the game a second (and third, and fourth, and fifth) time without worrying about leveling as much. The game was just full of innovations from the Techs, to New Game Plus, to the multitude of endings. I can't see any game made in 5 years with this much innovation. If there was we might have a new classic on our hands...

The PSX rendition of CT has me at a split as well. I am glad it came out so the next generation of RPGers can enjoy one of the great classics. On the other hand I will never play it again, after I got all the FMV's. As a cartridge owner I would much rather play it on my dated SNES (or more likely I'll play it vie emulator, it takes too long to hook up my SNES. Yes I am a lazy bastard). The lag just kills it for me.

Super Nintendo definatly was the god system for RPGs. So many classics came out on the system, it was great.

As you know, love, I finally got around to playing it last semester. I really did like it, it has great replay value, which most RPGs don't really have anymore. I love the alternate endings (one reason why I like Star Ocean 2 was because it was in the CT vein). Although it's not my favorite RPG since I wasn't a child of NES and SNES, I was raised on Playstation RPGs, and therefore (as much as you guys will probably bash it), my favorite two games (besides the Lunar remake, which doesn't really count, I guess) and FF7 and FF9. So say what you will. :p
