*sticks out tongue* Well, Mister Man, I'll have you know that I play the tuba too! So there! I happen to march it, have for 3 years now. I'll also have you know that tuba players love to do it 69 style. (I'll explain that later, if need be. :p ) I also played mallets last year in my high school's winter percussion group. So no being mean!
Ooooh! A tuba girl. Only met one of those in my life and I was her section leader. :) You are a rare treasure indeed. I marched tuba 4 years in HS. Heck, I remember being in 6th grade giving my trombone away so I could strap on a sousaphone. :D Rather than have a textual explanation of this "69 style", can I have a live demonstration. ;)

Also, I have to be mean to all wusswind players. As a low brass member it is part of my very being.:) Although, the only good thing I can say about wusswinds is at least they aren't playing a trumpet. Damn girly girl trumpet players. Bah!

Lain is goooood. Well, at least from the first 4 episodes that I saw 3 years ago and didn't really understand at the time. :D I love the animation style though. It's much more real than a lot of other animes, which is what I love about it. I also became a fan of Boogiepop Phantom because of that (since, of course, it's the same animators). :rose:

You must see all of Lain to really have any grasp of the series I usually suggest three viewings, One for visual, one for verbal, and one to tie it all together. It is really deep, and I find it relates to me in a lot of ways. If you’re interested the same people who made Lain made a series called Haibane Remnei which is also really good. You may find it easier to understand.

Though I do have an obsession for lain... (looks at wall scrolls, posters, lain action figure, and PS video game...) hehe ^_^

As for the tuba thing... sort of reminds me of some of the strange things my friends in marching band mentioned went on during long trips to perform at contests.

Oh, if the chaperones and parents knew half the stuff we did on band trips we'd never be allowed to leave the house again. I always sat in the back of the bus.

From what I heard the back of the bus was where all the "fun" happened. I know one BF/GF couple had sex back there on one bus trip. Though with my friends, they just hard/saw it, all they did on the trips was be board out of their minds and make massive fake joke stories to pass the time.

I would say I only heard or saw them too, but school records show otherwise. :D They have/had 3 accounts of "Offensive Behavior" from me just on band outtings. There always has to be a snitch in the bunch. Sex, bj's, fingering, groping, drinking, etc...all happen in the back seat. I was lucky since I was a Tuba player we had to ride on the colorguard bus. Four guys and about 60 girls. Those are some damn good odds. :D

How could I not repond to this thread ...

Hello to all fellow geeks and geekettes (and those beyond even that definition!)

I have heard sooooo many stories from my best friend and CG about band trips, you crazy band people you. *hides*

And to Randar, yes Lain is confusing but not nearly as indeciferable as people make it out to be. I vote for the ending of Evangelion or the Revolutionary Girl Utena movie for most confusing piece of animated work. God I love that movie ^_^

No sex in the back of the bus I was on. The tubas sat in back and we were protective of our little bathroom area. We were on the colorguard bus too, and many sexual jokes were made, and walk-by gropings did occur, but nothing too crazy, to my knowledge. But I'll tell you what. The gay colorguard guys are the best things ever. They are the funniest people I have ever met, and it's fun to see them make fun of each other. :D Good times on the band bus. :rose:

Well there weren't any this year during actual marching band, but I do know that one of the tuba guys (the "ladies man", as we referred to him sometimes, even though he really wasn't. He was just the one that a lot of younger girls thought was so cute (because he was)) did color guard on the off season. He was joking about it with our section leader, who also did spring guard, saying that he had the triple death against being against color guard: he was male, he was white, and he was straight. His conclusion was the fact that he could dance for crap, which is not a good quality for a color guard member. :D

Alright. One more card carrying geek here.

Network Administrator, A+ Certified Technician, Linux user, yadda yadda yadda, except that I'm an oddity as I don't play computer games.

I also play a lot of PS2 games. Final Fantasy, mostly racing, but I'll kick anybody's ass in Tekken Tag Tournament.

I play the LOTR CCG, and Magic: The Gathering. I play M:TG online using "Magic Workshop".

That's about it. Sign me up.

Mmmm...Kazuya was hot in Tekken 2, especially when he became Devil. Ooooh, it was so nice! But no one can top my sexy Korean from Tekken 3. :D  He didn't look very good in Tekken 4 (from the screenshots I saw), so I was upset, but he's eternally on my fantasy list. If he were real, I'd do him in an instant. :p (Look! I'm panting at the thought! )

i wonder if weve got enought geek power here to ressurect Data lol.

Hmmm...as in Boba? Myself, personally, would probably prefer the Han Solo look more, since Harrison Ford was just lovely then (although I think he was much much sexier as Indiana Jones *drool*). However, I do have a good friend from high school who would probably glomp and have wild passionate sex with any guy who was dressed as Boba Fett. She was wild for him. She was all excited about Episode 2 because it was going to have a lot of him in it.

yes as in Boba, jango was nice and all but it look was totally uncreative and bland. um, as for your friend....introduce us? :D

PLEASE?!?!?!?

Well, last time I talked to her, she was currently attached, but that was a few months ago. It makes me remember that I didn't really see anyone during winter break. Maybe if Pitt didn't start spring semester after 2 weeks, then I would have been able to, but no, she (and everyone else) had to go back and I had was left all alone in Falmouth for another 3 weeks. (It was nice to have all the time off from classes, but it became so boring.) :rose:

Hehe, Hwoarang didn't change in looks from t3 to t4 that much. :) Also, there is a live action movie out from china with a guy that looks almost exactly like him in it. :D

The best way to play MTG online is through the Magic Workstation program unless you wanna pay the prices for MTGO. I haven't played much for awhile, but between Homelands and Mercadian Masques I played religiously. Other than winning loca tournies and pre-releases my best was getting 2nd in the NC State Championships. I used to play heavily. I have a friend trying to get me back in since this Darksteel expansion seems pretty nice.

I was primarily into it between Beta (yes I actually blayed beta) through urza's legacy. I played a bit during masques, but not often. I still own my cards and all, but don't really have anyone to play with down here anymore. A new friend of mine is trying to get me back into it with the new expansion as well, I'm really thinking about it...

Beta would have been nice. I got my first deck when revised came out, then really got into the game when Homelands came out. When MM came out it just seemed to much of a rehash so I walked away. I built some decks and played online with 8th Ed, but it didn't seem that much different. Darksteel currently seems to be interesting, but I've got to go through the card list and current T2 block and see how the new mechanics can work with the previous releases that are still T2 viable.
