Overall I give it a 8 out 10 for effort but lacking in depth story like the graphic novel. I must say I was impressed with it I am looking forward to the dvd cut.

Yeah, but it dragged on too long.

My one big complaint with the movie was the gratuitous aspect.
There's no real reason the sex needed to run that long, Dr Manhatten to blow people into meaty ribbons, or for the saw to be seen sawing through the dude's arm.

It didn't add anything to it, other than trying to make people squirm. Felt tacky.
Plus, Rorscharch used complete sentences. What's that about?

I also had the most immature audience you guys can think of, I mean get over it people Dr.Manhattan is naked grow up Have you never seen a penis before? I swear I wanted to beat the crap out these two teenagers sitting behind me, They were going dude his dick is out every time Dr.M was on Screen But that just proves this movie/novel is for mature people. I can't wait for the dvd cut with extra scenes and the Hollis mason under the hood and tales of the black freighter.


I still give it 8 out of 10 Kudos to Zack and the actors I enjoyed seeing most of the comic come to life.

But unlike the long sex scene, the Dr's junk hanging out was a character development. Anytime Dr Manhatten was doing his 'I'm still sorta human' thing, he was wearing briefs, but when he was the science god that we was, he let it all hang out.
