Howdy all!
Got settled in at my new base this week and started my new class (a grueling 28 day long course where we learn how to use Powerpoint and Excel and other similar things to aid us in the fight for Democracy and Freedom). I've quickly grown a strong dislike towards many of the airmen in my squadron. Grossly unprofessional and immature.
Today I cleaned out the fridge after my room mate left it half full of garbage (who decides they need to refrigerate empty soda bottles and empty boxes that food comes in?), and it's defrosting while I'm out in town. Tonight they're doing a free advanced screening of Watchmen at the base theater (the unadvertised perks of serving in the military)
Anyhow, while I'm living in the student dorms, the internet is either prohibitively expensive (pay-per-minute or $60 a month wireless plans) or rather inconvenient (free wi-fi at the diner outside the main gate, about a 20-30 minute walk from my dorm), and very public either way, so my visits to the Lit boards is gonna be limited (I got a seat at the diner in a corner with my back to the wall today).
Anyhow, gotta go, but I wanted to stick my head in and say "Hi" to everyone! :-D
Don't let lousy squadmates getcha down, Tex. Do well in your class, and we eagerly await your return.
