Do we need a seventh Stars Wars movie.? :D
On one hand Disney has done very well with Marvel movies since they bought them. So I have high hopes for Star Wars VII. Now Disney saying they plan to release a new Star Wars movie every two years, may be over doing it, if you ask me

If they do that, they will probably lose a lot of business from fans....

I fear what Disney will do when/if they find the scripts for Indie 5 and Star Wars 7-9.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

May the being who powers the ark of the covenant help us all.

Well, all those books have been popular for decades I must admit. Guess they'll have a lot of material to draw from. If only they refuse to let George Lucas consult on them, they may have a chance.

I love the Avengers. I am such a geek. :D

I hope Iron Man 3 can keep up the pace. I hope he faces the Mandarin.

I hope Mark Ruffalo gets his own Hulk movie too. He was a much more believable Bruce Banner than Ed Norton.

Not sure about the casting of Ben Kingsley in that role. I'll just have to wait and see.

I think Disney will do right by Star Wars. And with George only in an adviser role, oh the possibility. Just think if they get someone like Peter Jackson to explore the Star Wars universe. Could be magical. At least, that is the kind of thing I am hoping for.

Oh, and I love this thread idea. I am a bit of a nerd myself and definitely in to nerdy women. Bonus points if it is nerdy black women!

Peter Jackson... such vision that man has. I can't imagine how he will stretch the Hobbit into three films and stay true to Tolkien, but I eagerly await part 1!

Welcome newbie from my beloved Bluegrass State. :)

He will do it and stay true. He did it with LotR, and The Hobbit won't take too much to stretch into three movies. Just lots of details. That's why he's so good. It's the details he includes.

And as for stretching it into three films, I have always heard it is easier to stretch short source material into a long film, versus shrinking an epic to a short film. Mainly because you can include much more of the minute details. With longer pieces you have to decide what to cut out which leads to fans getting angry about the snubs.

I hope you're right. There are an awful lot of characters in the movie who are not in the book. I need to reread the book before December.

And thanks for the welcome. I did not notice this before my last post! You are from Ky as well?

Seeing you say Peter Jackson and Star Wars in the same sentence reminds me of the trilogy wars from Clerks II.

You know if they will keep to the same story line that Lucas intended?

It didnt say. They did ask about Indiana Jones, and they said they would stay with the Star Wars franchise for now I think it will really hurt them if they mess the movies up to much. Disney has the qhole Month of May.. May the force be with you festivals and everything. If they mess up Star Wars it could mess up a HUGE money racket for them.
