A bit of harmelss frivolity ....

I'm familiar with the Casimir effect, but I'm not quite that up on my quantum mechanics.

Casimir effect is based on quantum theory? LOL The Casimir effect and the Casimir-Polder force are physical forces arising from a quantized field applied to quantum's. Noone understands them... It all just theory at this point *shrug*. Oh come on laugh... What I posted earlier it was just me playing around, the nambu-goto action, shouldn't even be there... Wait... It would be an interesting theory as a brain tease... LOL... besides only a quant theorist would get the joke behind the ramble. And that's what makes me a Nerd...*

Thanks for the response

Biochem...

But I want you to think about something. I really only use 4 elements to do 90% of my work. Hydrogen, Carbon, Nitrogen, and oxygen. Everything else is making those elements be most pleasing to the palette. Taste however is controlled by other molecules. Salts, Acids, Bases, mono- and disaccharides, and glutamates.

What a coincidence I use those very same elements on a daily bases... LoL... Your cute, biochem... As for the other ingredient above... tasty from a male.. But me, I also have monosaccharides fructose (C6,H12,O6)(sorry no sci on keyboard on iPad) or maybe just plain ol' sucrose (C12,H22,O11) I think thats right, though it's been awhile since chem. But it does add that feminine touch, does it not? *grinning* You don't need the molar mass or melting point on those do you? Just checking...

Thanks for Chem.101 review it was fun, going to be hitting tunnels ahead and I loose my connection... By the way the above, *smirk* just banter, no malice intended. Gotta go...

Heh. No, I wasn't sayng the Casimir effect is based on quantum mechanics (by that I mean deriving from quantum mechanical theory), I just wasn't familiar with what you posted besides the Casimir effect and so I assumed the rest was from more advanced/recent quantum mechanical theory which I haven't taken a look at yet.

I'm basically a layperson with some high school/self-training in physics. I study the general theory rather than math because it makes my sci-fi writing seem much more grounded in reality. Well, the stuff I don't intend to be fantastic and stretch the bounds of reality, anyway.

Wow. Just started reading the thread. Chemistry and quantum mechanics are being discussed, all the while a very explicit lesbian love affair is going on right through the middle of it all.

This is a strange thread, indeed.
 :rose:

Is it not grand and entertaining?

I'll have to check it out when I get home, my phone doesn't like the link, lol.

Haha. It's one of the random artists people wouldn't expect I listen to when they see what the majority of my music collection is comprised of. (For instance, I have all of NIN's CDs, even the remixes and singles, I have all of Slipknot's albums, Stone Sour's, Three Days Grace, etc.)
