You get a much better range of motion when you reach across. When going on the same side, your forearms natural up-down motion is at an awkward 45 degree angle to the body, and you're really limited to using your wrist. However, when you reach across to the far side the natural up-down motion of your forearm is parallel to your body.

EDIT: To make a relevant pop culture reference, it's kind of like in Boondock Saints when Agent Smecker is looking at the corpse of the mob boss in the hotel. The extreme angles told him it wasn't one shooter, because you'd have to cock your elbows out awkwardly, which is essentially the same thing you'd need to do to play with yourself on the same side of your body.

So I'm watching Futurama. I loved The Simpsons when I was younger. I never got into Futurama. I only ever saw fragments of episodes every now and then. Seriously watching it now.

Jurassic Bark is supposed to be hailed as one of the saddest animated moments of all time. And guys, they didn't lie. I bawled my eyes out at the end.

I've thought about Math during sex... granted I was doing it on purpose... I was counting out the Fibonaci sequence to distract myself from how bad it was...
